I am planning to buy a Suzuki Swift DLX manual , slightly used car in karachi.I am hearing dual reviews about it fuel consumption ,1- 8 to 9km/L2- 11-12km/L
need owners review, which is right. will appreciate your input.
Maintained one can easily give you 12 to 13+ KMPL.
Got a honda city recently it is giving me 14 to 15 kml in city ....while on highway it is giving me 16 to 17kml on heavy foot.....

do you own a swift?
No. I own a Liana with similar engine. My 10 year , heavier, older engine sedan can manage 12+ in normal city driving.
My swift is giving 13.5 kmpl on AC and 14.5 kmpl without AC.
Of 25000 kms. Model 2016
Bought Swift dlx 2013, 46,000Mileage.Please share link for service manual, and also recommend Oils and plug etc that need to change.

Change gear Oil as it was supposed to be change at 40,000 kmsCheck condition of Engine oil, if unknown then better to change it. Recommended one is API SM/SN 10W-40check condition of Spark Plugs if need then change,
Copper : NGK BKR6E-11 Recommended for Swift and written in manual also
Also make sure that spark plug gap is as per manual. Our stupid mechanics adjust it much lower than recommended.
Why to adjust the gap if you are using recommended one
They just do. Gaps on iridium's are not be adjusted even then our mechanics reduce its gap from factory set 1.1m for NGK iridiums to .7. I had to plead with mechanic to correct it. Response of car improved as a result.

If you think your engine is in good health use any reputable brand 5w30 engine oil. You will see the difference in fuel consumption and acceleration. When I owned a swift I used PSO 5w30 engine oil my average increase to 10km\L full ac in the city. Make sure to shift gears on 2k rpm.
