Suzuki Swift old shape worth buying?

But the Old shape cultus is a big NO for me. I know that you might be thinking that people don't maintain there Mehran and keep abusing it (actually they don't know the meaning of maintenance lol).

But trust me when I say my Mehran is 100% maintained mechanically (body wise it's 80%) and even if there is slightest leakage I simply go to my mechanic and put a new part in it (no jugar or kanjosi at all) that's why there is no suspension or engine noise even after completing 60,000 mileage. Also, I change the engine oil, oil filter & air filter after every 4,000 km.

So the point is that I want to upgrade to a nice comfortable & powerful car (which comes with a cost and I don't mind paying it) and I don't want to adjust mirrors manually and make my family sit on phata seats again lol.

P.s. I was considering Honda City 1.3 but can't find it even in 25 lac budget. So swift seems to be only good option.
Since you have an abused swift, can you recommend some tips that I can consider while buying it?

i was suggesting Cultus because it is easier to maintain and relatively more comfortable and spacious than Mehran.

I was going to suggest a Chuha shape or Daddu shape or whatever animal shape City you can get in 18 lakh budget.. but yes, you are right, finding a clean 80% maintained piece in this budget is near to impossible.

Then Swift is your best bet .. however, keep in mind that the car requires a bit more attention and care .. like sometimes you will see ABS light comes on, but then goes away to never come back, and the other brake pedal pressing and slave clutch cylinder issue i've mentioned..

i bought a used car Swift, and fell victim to my excitement and the word of the dealer (whom i knew) and he sold me quite an abused car (meter reversed for sure)... maybe that's why my car had these issues.. and after buying it, mechanics became my friends because i used to visit then qutie often for works : )

just make sure to inspect the car properly and my advice is to go for even an older model for higher price than a newer model for lower price whichever one is in better shape (body wise first and then engine wise).. yahan per log body hi dekhtay hain wo sahi hai to sab sahi hai ..engine to banta rehta hai baad main bhi : /

This means I shouldn't rely on Pakwheels inspection service alone.
And yeah I have also seen people buying faded color car because it is genuine. lol

That happen if the car is not properly maintained KEPT CLEAN so it's also a sign of neglect!!

The clutch slave cylinder issue only arises if you dont replace it with a new part when replacing the clutch assembly.

Its like when I used to see people in Pakistan change timing belts and not the tension rollers or waterpumps, or not change the welch plugs when rebuilding engines.

Almost 150k driven now.
Fully synthetic engine oil from havoline i change it after 10k kms along with all filters
And spark plugs after every 20k kms they're quite cheap along with engine tune up.
And i always fill with v power or similar fuel cause the price difference isn't much.
Add fuel additives too time to time
Nothing else, never been to a workshop ever.

you dont need to swap the plugs out for 200,000 kms if you use genuine NGK or Denso long life iridium spark plugs. These are modern cars. They have extremely stretched out maintenance intervals.

body can be perfect but everything bolted to that body can be complete trash - that is called a scrap metal car - do not buy unless you can get it for extremely low price and once you spend your money in labour and genuine parts, make sure it remains under the market price too.

This all is dependant if your mechanic/workshop can make it as good as factory specification. Otherwise move on and find another car to buy.
