Ohh guys, sorry. I thought that DBW had something to do with Wire aka the Wire throttle we have in Swift. A thorough Google search told me otherwise. Names are misleading

so guys, i have this dlx 2014, which i bought recently brand new...now im not sure if i made the right choice , but since its the only one so...
the question is, that my car is driven around 2000 now and i got the alignment and camber as well done ( as it needed it), but still the car tends to pull on the left and if the steering is completely straight the car goes slightly towards the right....
the other thing i noticed, i took it to the motorway (lhr-isb) and man was it unstable , i understand that its a small car or a box like shape but at 120 it started shaking bad ( which could be the balancing thing, but come on new car requires balancing :/...) i'll get that checked as well, but what shocked me was that it started to sway both sides...i mean the car just doese not feel in control on speeds above 120....which is quite pathetic....as the next thing is either to sell it off, or drop it crazy (which is not really a good choice for a new car )

can any one let me know what it could be if uve had any similar experience ?

Yes i didnt feel comfortable driving my swift above 80 kmph. it does shake. not that sort of shake cuz of bad allignment. I have taken mine to 140. the acceleration above 100 is not that good too. its a pathetic car. i got rid of mine. i like this forum thats why i hang around.

^^probably bad wheel balancing....coz my car is 19k+, but never had shaking or stability problem even at 150kmph...get ur car checked with PS....

i am having a huge problem because of my horn.90% of the time it doesnt work.i installed new one from a local workshop.worked well in 1st week only and now its silent again.
problem with horn started when my car was parked on roadside for 2 hours in heavy rain.

Have Swift Auto... so far the mileage is between 12 to 13.5 kmpl depending on the fuel quality. The ODO reading is just over 5000km, when Shell fuel is used the mileage is around 12 to 12.5kmpl. Using Total fuel adds a km per liter. So far have not tried mixing hobc.

Dear, Did you drove swift or mehran ?? May be your car was not properly aligned or wheel balancing wasn't done properly because i regularly drive on motorway and consistently between 140-150 and it moves like breeze. It shakes only if there is something wrong with your alignment or tyres.

it was in best shape. and everything was alright. its cuz of the rock hard suspension mostly. on high speed if the road is not smooth enough then the whole car vibrates. cuz the wheel base is small, the tyres are just at the ends of the body. the weight is centred. result: the whole car shakes altogether. whereas in bigger cars or cars having softer suspension the front and rear of the car do not move up or down at the same time. the disturbance induced by rough roads is absorbed by the body.

in short swift is a very crudely made car.
hard power steering. hard clutch. poor engine response (but not power). not so pretty design (although somewhat attractive). door panels start squeaking. does not feel comfortable if u drive long distances although feels exciting to drive when u r in a mood for enjoyment.

and mehran. one of the worst things on earth. and one of the roots of traffic problems in our country.

That's excellent for an auto. Almost comparable to the manual. Also how much have u driven ur car and any major issues u have run into so far? And have u had the chance to drive the manual swift. If so how much difference is there in the drive?

BTW these mileages are without AC. Now that summer is here, the AC will be used and the mileage will reduce a bit. But that remains to be seen.

The car is driven by my elder brother and he is a careful driver, so far no major issues. He has even driven it around 120 and there were no stability issues, mostly he drives it inside city. One weekend the car went to AJK (Rawalakot and Bagh) with 6 people on board (5 adults + 1 kid) including the driver and there were no pick or power issues. The AC works like a charm.

So far it is driven around 5200+ km. Just had first 5000km service from the 3S last week. No experience with manual swift.

Nothing except door visors. The seat plastic is still on
