Guys..paid a visit at the workshop, had a detailed discussion with the engineer ther, swift does have a catalytic converter...and works pretty well too..

There are so many misconceptions about this car; a) not having a Catalytic COnverter b) Engine not with Variable Valve timing are the two that come to mind

The car has both. For the non believers; the service manual clearly mentions both (2010 Service Manual)
Page 1D1 for VVT and 1K3 for the 3 way catalytic converter. For those who want can refer to the manual and inspect their car for the presence of the Catalytic converter

Sir vvt version is in sports edition and ours is non vvt ....as no vvt is wriiten . companies market each and everything nowadays..

From what i understand Pak Suzuku Swift is a second generation swift (chassis xx11S) and has a m13A VVT engine. The first generation swift (chassis HT51S) had a m13a non-VVT engine that was sold between 2001-04

My car has done 68,000 kms and when I drove the car after 5 weeks, I heard a 'tuk tuk' sound from the engine bay on acceleration or heavy braking. I got it checked from the suzuki dealership and the mechanic there said that its engine mount needs replacement and it will take upto 3 weeks for the part to arrive from the suzuki factory. I asked the mechanic if it's safe to drive and he advised me to not accelerate very hard drive on rough roads or brake hard. It's been two days and I've been driving as he has suggested and I can't hear any tuk tuk sound anymore.

However, I'm still concerned that such a vital component should be replaced immediately and the car shouldn't be driven at all till its sorted out.

As sourcing the part from the factory will take some time, is there any other official suzuki parts shop (like Bilal autos, Montgomery road for honda) from where I can get this engine mount from?

Visit some other dealership. It doesn't take THAT long for a local car's parts to arrive. Visit Mini Motors.. You must've gone to Master motors?

1)top speed easily achieved in swfift dlx ? on petrol

2) the car is succesful on cng also yes or no

3) any issues of suspension ? early issues i mean tuk tuk ...

4) two person siiting at back car seems to get low from back ... is that correct daikhnay mein tiouaisa lgta hy on roads

2)yes, with lambda installed
3)suspension is kinda hard, not harder than city's, not softer than corollas. Just in between.
4) yup- that's true. It does get low and the balance between front and back gets mixed up.

Overall : it's a nice car, packs some power and is fun to drive.

That's the smell of catalytic converter and it's normal. This smell is felt at high rpm when converter performs more to convert non environment friendly exhausts to environmentally acceptable. Enjoy ur ride

Sorry to be acting so superstitious abt this, on hard acceleration, da burning smell fills up inside the cabin (even with windows rolled up and air cond on) for arnd 20 to 30 seconds. Just wanted to knw if this is cat's smell too ? As i thot cat's smell shud come from exhaust only...

I think if you refer to cars manual ull get all the answers. There is as such no bad or good oil if it's a branded oil (m talking about good and renown brands) and same goes with the plugs. Watever company recommends use it and follow the standards e.g heat ratings 4 spark plugs and viscosity n grading in case of oil

I tried 140 kmph easily on motoway considering its 1700 driven so far

2) the car is succesful on cng also yes or no

I would say waste of money and car ja bera garak

dont know y people say it touches....on stock height it never touched on big breakers even with 9 people on board....and when loered still doesnt scrape...

Hi i have swift dx 2013 august model. Driven 14000 kilometer and maintained properly from suzuki motors.
Recently from last month check lighr turns on automaticlly and when i bring car to suzuki motors they plug in computer std and error comes with thia code
(***P0031 -HO2S HEATER CONTROLL CIRCULT LOW,SENSOR 1**)
Now plz guide me what is the issue anyone knows?suzuki people says its tracker wiring issue but sensor is ok without checking further.they clear the error code and chk light appears after 1 to 2 days. .but i m asking them to inspect sensor in waranry they say sensor is ok..but what is the issue then..plz guide.
