the 2 CAMS are run by CHAIN and not BELT. 200% sure. and ac, powersteering etc are run through rubber belts in all cars.there is a difference btween nature of work of each belt

The picture you posted clearly says DRIVE BELT is to be replaced at 90k not the timing chain they both are two different thing..
drive belt is the serpentine belt that drives the accessories like water pump etc

timing chain does not needs to be changed at all if oil changes are at regular intervals then the timing chain easily lasts the life time of engine.
even the mehran manual says to replace timing belt at 80k.

No one on this forum said that the cams are run by belts.
The simple thing which you fail to understand is that the DRIVE belt mentioned in the manual is the rubber belt running alternator and other accessories. That belt is to be changed at 90K.

that image is posted was out of Swift/Liana manual of M13 engine - and it doesnt have belt but Chain - and that 90k is for this chain! and belt have much shorter change interval and it further reduces in our stop and go traffic. i do not do hawai firing until i know what i am saying. do your research on this

I do believe replacing a Timing belt earlier then its service period is always good.... I faced a broken timing belt like 100kms away from lahore near Okara in middle of the night in my cultus...

Had to tow it to nears settlement with a qinqi rickshaw..

My car was on 78thousand on meter... Tab I thought I should have replced it way earlier... Just My thoughts on this..

same my point which i wanted to state here and ended up attracting 'misunderstood' posts. i myself faced a broken timing belt in the middle of nowhere in darkest hours of night of my Baleno and came up the conclusion that this thing costs peanuts but can actually make your life miserable anytime and all of a sudden. and this broken belt can actually cost you a huge repair amount in case you drive a car with interference engines -

This is not a poetry club, we are talking about cars. There is right and wrong. You can not install timing chain in place of drive belt.
This is Suzuki Swift owners' club so definitely, the manfacturer's manual hold a position above personal beliefs.
Please mind that this is a public forum and a piece of wrong information can land many in trouble, so if someone has written something wrong, others must correct it with supporting data.

25k is nothing. Is it the question of quality then? Usually the life time of drive belts is 100k.

There is no timing belt in swift i think, there is alternator belt and it can be inspected for wear/cracks to see if it needs replacement, i never replaced any sort of belt in my drive of 165000 Kms of swift,
