told me that the hand break cable is jammed and will need replacement .. he is asking 3500 for wire and 2 K for labor .. is it ok ?

did he use WD40 spray on it first ? usually "jammed" cables start working fine after a bit cleaning with WD40.
about two months ago my Swift's accelerator cable was stuck and car was running on high RPMs ... mechanic sprayed WD40 and it's been running fine since then.

Nahi Sir .. he didn't use any spray .. and on top of that right now i am in my office ..as i can't take off so the car is with them now .. So Allah Malik hai ..Dekhein kiya sach hai aur kiya nahi ..

So just got home .. got the cable changed ..costed 6500 in the end ..and also changed the battery ..Daewoo dry battery for 5500 ..

They also told me to get my suspension work done as well .. they said that the stering needs change of bushes and chimta as well ..and they quoted me 20 K for it .. and the battery i got from another shop ..as the same guy quoted me 7500 for it ..and i got it for 5500 .. Any one have any idea where i can get this work done ..in a reason able amount and not get ripped off as well ..

bhai 20,000 is friggin too much i think. i recently got some suspension work done for my car as well, and total was 7800 .. let me share the bill with you. You cal talk to the guys on phone for further inquiry. oh, and the work done is quite satisfactory, i don't see any problem in the car's suspension whatsoever and did not need to go back to them after that.

Sir i am from lahore as well .. the guy i know is in lahore near johar town ..but right now i am residing in Bahria town phase 7 ..and everything here is expensive as hell .. so i am stuck ..and in the current scenerio i don't think allows me to go to saddar and other places ..so i think i will get original oil and air filter and get my oil change ..have been usjng havoline pro ds for quite some time ..and just wait till the conditions get better..Pictures right now ..

Expensive. Daewoo DL60 is for 4100 with old battery.
For suspension, I'd recommend you to get the job done in sadar or burraq autos chah sultan.
I've had a bad experience with the mechanics in Bahria phase 7. For a better quality parts, they'll get it sourced from sadar and will add up there commission plus delivery.

Assalam o Alaikum, Bhaiyon! im considering the swift automatic for city usage. i wanted to know how much fuel it consumes. my friend has a manual variant which was giving me 12kpl when i kept it for a week. i can only imagine that automatic variant will be worse. please, let me know what the figures are. JazakAllah.

automatic gives around 10 in city maybe 9 if u push it hard but i guess u can stretch it up to 11 12 , i have a manual and it hasn’t given me less than 12 on ac with very harsh driving , it gives around 13 14 using genuine filters .

There're 2 Auto swifts in my office, 2017 model both, around 8-10 in city depending upon driving conditions

I have 2015 model automatic swift. It gives between 8-10 on AC. Car drive and automatic transmission response is excellent so never thought about mileage.

swift has 4 speed auto so at most 9 10 local dont expect more

My swift auto 19 is giving me aroung 10.5 to 11.5 in city with ac and 14 to 15 on motorways with ac

Ur swift is giving excellent mileage really... never got that much from swift auto in my family and friends..10kmpl.had been a far cry in city traffic.

I always try my level best to not go through traffic jams and prefer long routes

I also have experienced that Swift gulps the gasoline particularly when idle... Traffic jams are a worst case for it.
