I would differ. I confirmed with multiple Suzuki techs and the owner of a Suzuki dealership as well. I checked with Guard as well.

here are all filters part numbers

1st one, for alto, is Japanese, manufactured by tokyo roki, "Made in Japan" is clearly mentioned

2nd one, for cultus wagonR, is made in Indonesia, clearly written too on packing

3rd one, for swift, is also made in Japan, manufactured by tokyo roki

4th, for ciaz, is made in Thailand

5th and 6th, for vitara and jimny, the 16510-61831, I have no pic atm

and 7th, for apv and mega carry, is made in Indonesia, just like wagonr/cultus one, made by sakura

and the 8th, is for our legendary mehran, bolan and ravi, the only filter manufactured by guard

it's also available in local guard packing, red white box

By the what u say is it safe to use vic oil filter in swift?

I am using aftermarket filter in our Mira and had been using aftermarket ones previously in my Alto as well
But the issue is that their sizes use to be same but for the oem filter is around 1.5times the size of aftermarket filter
And if u have so much knowledge please tell me part number of the belts that are on the left side of engine running AC and some other accessories
I can visually see there are two belts but the Suzuki 3s guy saying there are only total 2 belts in swift, one is fan belt and one is on the left side running AC(Whose part number is also visual and its 4PK815) but i cant see upper belt number which is broader then the 4PK815 one. So kindly confirm am i right that there are two belts running on left side of engine instead of what 3s guy saying and what is its part number. Actually want to get it replaced as it’s making noise

I bought my vehicle brand new in 2008 and was told by 3 dealerships about Guard manufacturing OEM for Suzuki. Maybe they stopped but that's proof of quality. Back in 2008, Guard also told me they were OEM manufacturers.I never went back to spending extra money on "Genuine" filters as it doesn't provide cost to benefit ratio (value for money).

Same is the case with people who pour in fully synthetic oil and then change their oil at 3k kms. To be honest, I haven't gone to a dealership in 3 years. My vehicle is over 200K Kms Mashallah.

On a lighter note, here's some proof or 1"Genuine" from Pakwheels website How about that?

yes, guard is manufacturing, I didn't say that they don't manufacture for suzuki, they do, but for limited variants, as I mentioned earlier

yes, it's genuine one, Tanveer autos and many others dealers like parts central, cars club, mumtaz autos have genuine filters at cheaper rates as compared to dealership, many buy those too because there no tax

I went to plaza 2 days back and the rate from 2-3shops is same as Suzuki (including GST) around 1700 waisay suzuki 3s 1500 ka batata hai but i am sure with taxes it will become around 1700-1800
And u r lucky like many others but i myself feel that its not worth taking risk of oil filter because if some thing breaks it will directly go inside engine

rather than using aftermarket filters, I will personally prefer genuine16510-61J00, apv/mega carry filter, which costs approx 1000
because cultus/wagonR, apv/mega carry and swift filter have same specs except height, i.e, 85 mm for swift filter, 65 mm for apv/mega carry filter and 50mm for cultus/wagonR filter
rest everything is same

Let me ask 3s if they can install apv one on my swift!! And the height difference is the one for which i am worried. If this vic filter had same height I would have been very less reluctant in using it
Because height is proportional to capacity of filter and will surely affect input and out pressure and quantity across the filter

C-933 is recommended for swift which is unfortunately unavailable pak

the one you are using is c932, which is actually16510-61J00 (apv/mega carry) cross reference rather than 16510-61A31

c932 will be fine in my opinion, as everything is same except height
many are already using c932 in their swifts
