I have noticed theres only Front Map Light in Swift and no Roof Light in center of the roof which is really Bad !!
Any Possibility of Installing any Light in the Roof Moulding preferably in the center or any possibility of installing rear map lights like in 8th gen civic , Obv it will need some alterations But Still any one tried tht ??

It is a Family car , some light in the center for back seats is a MUST .... what the hell is wrong with PAK SUZUKI ppl we are in 2013 and our SWIFT is priced @ 1181/- Base model DX with reg touching almost 13 lacs ! thts really irritating ! A typical SOOOOZKI :@

Try removing the roof trim and see whether the frame supports a possible place to install a roof lamp there. If there is, try getting an aftermarket or any cars roof lamp and fix it there. You can wire it via the original headlamp. I don't think anyone has tried but if you do DIY of it, then it would be of great benefit to all the Swift owners on his thread, given you share the method here

It NOT a huge problem for Swift to have a roof lamp as even City does not have one not even City Aspire A/T which costs over 1.8million. So instead of blaming Suzuki, the local industry should be blamed which does not encourage much advanced features in our local cars. The lamp is the least of our worries as Air bags is a much bigger feature missing.

Toyota Vitz
Nissan Ad Station Wagon ( which is a delivery van not a family car at all )
Nissan Tiida hATCH
and many others which are not proper family cars have Both Front Map lights and Roof Light for back seat !
anyways I want the solution Not a Debate , so waiting for other Nice members to find some solution
and we are in Pakistan , the car costs more than 1.2 mil , 70% of the owners are above age 30 with family ,wife and kids so it is a much needed feature !

I think Air bags is much needed feature as opposed to the roof lamp. And even if the imported Swift does not have one (im not sure), then its really childish to blame Pak Suzuki for that matter

^^ When I asked the same thing about installing front Map Light in my CIVIC VTI Prosmatec 2010 ( which comes with only rear reading lights and roof light ) the Members , owners /fans really helped and replied in a positive way ... Pakwheels is not for time pass only , If I am asking something , Dont reply if u cant help , instead of giving ref of some Bolan wala , Obv I am not asking how can we hang a " rang baranga gola ganda" inside the cabin ! I am talking about some proper Genuine Map Light (which can be bought from any Honda /other Dealership )

Honda City even the base model ivtec manual comes with a roof light , its such a basic thing Bhai !

I was talking abt such a basic thing , and ppl started giving me ref of some bolan /hi roof wali lights , And u are talking abt air bags ! Yes it is a much needed safety feature But i dont really expect any thing like tht from pak suzuki when it is not there in Aspire @ 1.8 million and Gli @ 1.7 mil

The poster meant that there is a member here who modifies lights of all types. He recently posted a project on Bolan, hence the reference of Bolan was given

If i find his ID, ill let you know. He has been modifying all types of light which also includes lights of civics and other cars. All his work is based on DIY. Even I consulted a similar person who did Khyber's work for my boot lamp. No pun intended and the Bolan's reference was just there to find him.

Anyone experiencing slack in the accelerator cable? Just did a DIY to fix it, 10 minute job, cost 10rs.
The cable itself isn't very expensive so replacement is the better option, but I'm sticking to what I did for the time being. Pics coming up once I am at work

No slack but very aggressive response maybe because your one is a lot driven.....but I do have one issue once you come to a climb not very steep , on motorway especially I floor the car and in opposite the car begins to lose a little speed and the rpm increases.....I also have a Rolla but in its case the car accelerates and the rpm fixes at a point anyone ever noticed this....???

Please suggest how to preserve my brand new swift as i am going out of country for 2-3 months
what i have done is filled 35psi in all tyres
washed it from upside down and polished
sprayed wd 40 on disc brakes and some other near tyre places
will remove battery wire before leaving
covered it with a bedsheet and then with a proper car cover
parked it inside

Take tyres off if possible. Also, wipe off wd40 from the disc when u return. Its a sort of lubricant and it will hamper your braking seriously, I did the same mistake once and couldn't understand why brakes didn't seem good enough.

557 km..whenever I rev it up over 3,000., I get weird smells..............Maybe because Its new and the belts and whistles are getting use to running? what ya'll think. Still trembles on idle on cold starts, I mean mornings and after I am done with work in the evening and start after 8 hours.

2 to 3 months is not a problem. Just wash, clean and dry Ur car n change oil. I don't think u need any wd40. Put a car cover over a cotton bed sheet n park Ur car under some roof n u r good to go.

That's smell of catalyc converter n it's good if it smells as it means it's working n burning bad stuff from exhaust. It will keep Ur catalyc converter in good shape n it won't choke. Everyone should pull hard ones swift at least once in thousand Kms to burn bad stuff in CC. Don't worry buddy that smell is fine.

Let ur ecu settle n car will b fine in few more Kms. Don't think alot about Ur car it's good n fine just give ecu time to record the inputs n Ur car will b perfect. Just enjoy its ride no worries

Not necessary if your car cover has soft inner liner. Just chill nothing will happen to Ur ride in 3 months. Imported cars travel in sea n r parked at port for months without any protection n they survive all that. So don't worry clean it n cover it n enjoy Ur trip abroad and have a safe rather very safe journey. Please no diesel anywhere on Ur car it will ruin everything slowly.

That's great.. in my first 1000 km.. with 99% AC on i used to get 12 Km/L and normal driving.. but after that Free Job fuel Alhamdulillah for me, so stopped checking

Mix of local n highway. But highway is not a highway keeping in view the traffic on highway. As I already mentioned its with 90 to 95% AC. This millage is with one traffic jam of 15 to 20 mins everyday
