Can anyone tell me what mobil oil Suzuki company has been using in Swift originally?? Why don't we continue using the same one, will it not be better than changing it to something new?

I think we should continue with the original mobil oil as changing it will affect engine's life. As viscosity of mobil oil will change and engine has to work harder. What do you say??

I need to purchase Swift hopefully in next 3 months, I am confused whether i should go for Swift Manual or Automatic. Automatic has 4 gears.. right? I need to know how much is there any performance difference between the two, considering local city driving, highway and hilly areas? Plus is there any one who can also compare fuel consumption between manual and automatic swifts.

First full tank results : 37 litres, 455 Km, without A/C at Lahore. 12.29 km per litre. Very careful with the rpm too. Only between 2,200 and 2,500.
I am guessing that drivers at Islamabad get better mileage, since longer distances can be achieved without stopping. Less traffic signals, and lot less Rickshas and motorbikes trying to get into the one and only car lane.

I have a feeling that more careful u r with swift bad mileage it gives. Treat swift normally n it will perform gud. I drive between 2k to 5k rpms n it gives good average. One of my friends aspire gives 11.5 max and other friends swift gives 13 both in isb n with AC. Yes I agree that in Lahore conditions r different thn isb.

guys has anybody tried to plug in some OBD device in Swift ??? which protocol swift ECU uses ?? Is it OBDII ??? or some propriety protocol specific to suzuki

An old viewer / observer of Pakwheels...came across this thread....had already decided to buy city....but ended up buying SWIFTOOO Dlx....Got delivery on 26 July from federal Motors.....Nil accessories provided.....400 on ODO....AC feels a lil dead....looks like i ve to face off with Federal Motors to fill up the gas to its full (most probable prob/solution)

Anyone faced any worn out stud..??? My front right sides one stud has worn out and I am a bit confused as my car is 20k driven and no punctures and I have a worn out stud....so what should be done..?? Do I have to get a new disk or is the stud repairable..???

For both of above who feel ac issue, get the ac air filter cleaned if it doesn't solve the problem, get the gas checked, also use ac on internal circulation.

I need your expert opinion on a small query,
What would you prefer when buying a used suzuki swift in the budget of around 1.1 million.

1) Swift DX 2012 less than 10K km driven. (My cousin is selling so I know the car inside out)

Or

2) hunt a DLX model which would probably be of 2010 year in my budget and driven around probably 50K km. ?

DLX has a main safety feature of ABS....then small diff like rims,grills,handles painted immobilizer etc..DLX would be a better oprtion but there are DLX models driven less then 50k in the required budget

U can find a decent 2011 dlx under 35k driven for 1.1mill.
