Suzuki swift award list is getting longer and longer.Old model of suzuki swift won 63 awards in 17 countries and now the new swift awards have started to come. The new Suzuki Swift has been awarded the ‘Best Small Car’ by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers in scotish car of the year awards 2010, also winning the most safe car(Suzuki Swift voted ‘Best Small Car’) (2010 Scottish Car of the Year Awards – the results).

The new Suzuki Swift has been awarded the ‘Best Small Car’ by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers in scotish car of the year awards. The Suzuki Swift also won the ‘Safety’ category for its equipment list of seven airbags, ESP and Five stars NCAP crash test rating which is available across the range as standard.
This latest Suzuki Swift is slightly longer with a 50mm increase in wheelbase. The lower profile tyres allow for better handling and the extensive use of higher strength steel makes the new bodyshell lighter and stiffer than before. The body design has also helped improve impact safety for pedestrians as well as occupants. The interior design of the Suzuki Swift now has a more dynamic feel, featuring black as its keynote colour with accents of silver throughout the car. David Seward, Senior Director Sales and Marketing said “at Suzuki we are well known as the small car experts and these highly prestigious awards really help reinforce that the Suzuki Swift is a very important model and we are delighted that it is so highly regarded by the Scottish Motoring media.”

This is the "New" Suzuki Swift but I dont think its in the market yet. Its gonne come out to market in first quarter of 2011.

The older Swift which we have in pakistan is not "NEW" to the Scottish market. I had been to Norway/Germany/France in 2005 and lot of ppl were using over there and even I rented it for few days. Was amazing compact car. Real driving pleasure!!!

I have no offence with the topic or with u or with the car, but Im only confused with the word in ur topic "NEW". :S

ideally they shuld have discontinued Cultus by 2006 and replaced it with Swift in the same price
and shuld have been bringing this Facelift in 2011

when we start comparing apples to apples it'll make sense.

as it is the swift they are talking about has almost nothing to do with the local one. we don't have airbags, ESP etc....

As already mentioned old model(launched in our country) has won more than 60 awards. If there are no airbags it doesn't change the car,as for airbags these effect safety ofcourse but not the performance, design,power of a vehicle.

It is the weakness of our government authorities that they can't force the manufacturers to provide airbags as standard(In india also airbags are optional and not standard in some cars). .

As you can see Swift won the safety award as well...and no airbags in Pakistani version?? Thats not even up to 'normal' safety standards in auto industry these days..
