Suzuki to introduce a compact SUV within next 2 years?

This blog post by PakWheels mentions that Suzuki is planning to introduce a compact SUV within the next 2 years.

What do you all think about this? Which model do you think they're going to introduce? It's very interesting that Pak Suzuki is thinking of expanding their lineup beyond small cars.

Suzuki's Vitara, Brezza or Fronx. The ignis is not a good looking car at all. It's a hatchback with a lift kit.

Hmm. Hopefully they don't launch the Ignis. Let's see.

Does anyone have any more information regarding Pak Suzuki's plans for the future? Any insider knowledge here? Would be quite interesting.

Suzuki will be launching the fronx small SUV according to the latest buzz, this should be priced exactly as stonic or it wouldn't sell

Very interesting! I think a dedicated post for the Fronx should be made now here on the forums.

If Pak Suzuki introduces it with the mild hybrid tech, and prices it below 6.8 million, it definitely would have a chance. I imagine they would also give a good amount of features, because they do do so on the Swift GLX CVT.

I guess this is the first time in quite some time of Pak Suzuki introducing a car in a segment other than small hatchbacks. The Ciaz and Vitara were failures in the market, so let's hope Pak Suzuki has learned their lesson and will competitively price and market the Fronx this time.

Spending 50 on a suzuki is very hard i wouldn't drop 30 on it and they're planning for a 70 lack vehicle lol.

I think it'll be a hit. The car is attractive looking, decent features and would survive our roads. I mean this car in India is surviving just fine, they have similar conditions to us. The only thing i can see going wrong is parts availability and servicing. Resale is hard to gauge. I reckon if pak suzuki is really committed to this, it might not end of like another ciaz or vitara failure.

7M would be suicide for this when a stonic, Yaris, city is available for less but 5.5-6M can work.

Yes, that's true. 5.5 is a bit close to the Swift, but I think 6 could work. If Suzuki is setting up local assembly for this car rather than importing it like the Ciaz and Vitara, then they probably really believe in the car and will hopefully price and market the car properly.
