Suzuki WagonR heating coil leakage

Does water flow through the heating coil all the time or only when heater is switched on.
I am currently facing water leakage from heating coil hose. Although there's no leakage on outside but the carpet is a little wet.

It doesn't mean the heater core is only leaking, trace the leaking to find the culprit.

technically when you shift to cool air
the valve outside should stop hot water flow to heater core

I am trying to rule out heater coil leakage as little water is visible under the dashboard and it's super dry outside.

Technically it's the only logical thing to do but with Pak Suzuki one can never be sure

I have a question for you. Is it coolant or water that you see/feel in the carpet? Coolant has a faint sweet smell to it. If it is coolant, then you are right in saying that it might be the heater core. But if it is just water, it could be the hose lading a/c condensate out of the car has slipped off the a/c drain tray. Just worth checking.

It's coolant and haven't switched on AC as yet this season
