Swap electronic diesel pump with mechanical on CD20E

Use diesel purge or similiar cleaning liquid. Pump might be dirty from iniside or injectors might have accumulated dust during the time they remained open.

Maybe,pump is resting for years in storage.I filled with oil before use it.

get hold of some cleaning liquid, most probably the fuel left inside the pump is causing the idle system not to function correctly, The idle speed system is also controlled by the CSD by a series of bellcranks, see that all are working correctly, all have adjusting screws for this purpose. As you had freed the system and its working now it maybe possible that the screws must have been backed out completely by someone else to eliminate the idle speed increase function.

I used to have B14 CD20 & that time i wish to have Electronic pump & accessoires to convert it to CD20E but u r doing it other way, have u try to daignose Check engine light issue with ur existing setup ? or straight away replacing the Fuel Pump wiht mechanical 1?

I have faulty TPS and cost 150$ with shiping.Now i have spend 20$ for this swap(throttle cable +pedal,all work is done by me,pump was mine from long before) and free of mind from electronic problems.I think you have positive benefits only for adding turbo to your car.Don't spend your money and your time for the same performance of your car.

@Xulfiqar CSD is working fine and idle is stable no jerks. The pedal need more adjustment for fast response of throttle(maybe stall for that reason,low response time to increase throttle when change gear).I'll check today.

CSD is 100% functional,no visible smoke,starting on half key and quieted running engine.The only negative point is Stalling when need power(change gear),after 1500 rpm back to normality.Facts:I have high breaking pressure injectors(turbo specifications) and pump just bolted not timed properly(dial gauge etc).Thanks for yours attentions especiality to Mr Xulfiqar.

you can compensate for high break pressure by advancing the pump, For idle - I think a good cleaning will help, seems like the fuelling capsule or the metering sleeve is sticking.

Have no time to play with timing of pump and cleaning the pump with liqui moly.Stall are present when the engine is warm after 10 min driving.Today i connect rpm sensor(on the pump body) but is showing full rpm on idle.I need it but i dont know what to do!!

start the engine cold and inspect the CSD linkages, keep on observing them till the engine warms up - the CSD reduces rpm when warm and sets is high when cold, make sure that the CSD is not the cause of stalling. It might be that the previous user of the pump redid all the screws on the pump to compensate for the stuck CSD.

     CSD is working 100%.After 10 min idle is back to normal running.

The engine stall only when i push throttle after change gear,on idle engine is perfect.Anyway must clean it with diesel purge and see the results later.

then your pump's metering sleeve is stuck. Needs to be calibrated on a bench.

After cleaning fuel system with Liqui Moly i feel engine running much smother.Tomorrow ill try for engine stalling on long distance.

Today after cleaning the fuel system idle is much smother and rpm has dropet litlle down,need adjust.Dont have stall anymore only slighty when release th pedal beacouse shock absorber is missing.I'll try to adapt later.Pump need fine adjustment with dial gauge but i dont have it.I think now im on right way.

After yesterday trip consume is 17km/litre(80% highway 20% city,no ac).Have litlle jerks when change gear but very minor after diesel purge cleaning.I have to change fuel filter for this issue.And my ride is far better after this swap.Mr Xulfiqar what you think about that consuption?

17km liter is good considering that adjustments are not done with dial gauge. on highways, if engine and calibration is in good nick, u can get 20+

Pretty decent mileage, put about half litre of two stroke oil per tankfull to help the pump work nicely. Regular purges may help. To me it seems that this pump you installed has seen some life pumping vegetable oil through it.

Cant help with rpm gauge - in your ECU engine - it gets sourced from the ECU, on the mechanical pump, the gauge is completely different. it takes a far higher Hz reading.

Thank you.Swap is done by me beacouse mechanic told me that is waste of time(too much smoke,less power etc).But now smoke is disapeared and power is the same.
