Swap toyota corolla 2009 speedometer to Auris speedometer(Pic attached)

Hi, I hope everyone is doing fine.

I swap my old speedometer for my 2008 with a Toyota Auris speedometer 2011-12. When I replaced the old speedometer with Auris, I am always getting the automatic gearbox warning lights on in the running condition. I only replace the dashboard, not the transmission.

the Auris Speedometer was for another type of transmission, I think this problem coming from the transition type for the Auris car it is more likely is different than my transmission.

if there is any chance to modify or make any jumper wire in the cluster connector to bypass this problem

Finally, after turning off the engine and remove the key out, the two circular display is still powered on with no data for more than 3 hours is still ON, and beep sound keeps coming.

I sincerely hope someone at PW will help me out.

transmission is driving speedometer mesh gear called Speed Sensor, sending pulse to odometer needle drive module.

when you swapped the transmission there is likely chance the mechanic did not switched the speed sensor to match with ecu.

but note that I only replace the dashboard, not the transmission.

For your information as you mention the Auris Speedometer was for another type of the transmission

in that case you may only need a speed sensor swap from the corolla auris which is a uk model semi hatch back vehicle.

the speed is working in the new (Auris) dashboard , and all function working except the warning ligh for the automatic gearbox, and the gear postion (P,N,R ... etc).

finally you put that right janab.

The gear shift lever drive the transmission selector lamps in cluster please visit an electrician be specific to the problem. he shall remove the shiftter console and check for any cable kinks or rusted actuators. Apparently as you stated there is no problem in the cluster or the speed sensor but only the shiftter indicating lamps.

i am afraid you miss understand me,

my old cluster is working just fine without any problem, with the same gear shift lever, but when I install the new cluster this issue occurs.I go back for the old cluster again I found it is working fine, so I think this problem coming from the transition type for the Auris car it is more likely is different than my transmission.

now to be very specfic you need to find an electrician who specialize in cluster jobs. If you please mention your city @omersiddiqui5482 @dayrider can guide you more precisely.
