I have a 1998 Margalla, its with me since last 20 yrs. Body was repainted once back in 2014. And engine was overhauled in 2012. Now the car needs cosmetic and mechanical work both. Axles make tuk tuk noise while turning. Shocks are done too. Engine gives fuel economy of 8-10km/l in local. I want to swap efi engine which is reliable, powerful yet economical. Please advise me accordingly.
You can install 2sz-fe in it with automatic transmission. If you are in Karachi, check with Usama Automobiles
i suggest fdor suzuki g series engines, shud be bolt on,
u shud have lots of choice, g10, g13bb, g15, g16b, opt according to budget n engine condition
G15 is available but its very expensive these days. Good complete one with gear and wiring costs around 180k and total cost of swap can go till 250k.
@margallar is the right person to seek guidance for such swap.plenty of G series EFI engines are available at scrapyards
G series can be installed with minimal adjusment.
But it is 90s technology, i would go with K or M series if i had the resources, you can buy them for alot cheaper too.
Can M15 be installed in margalla without much alterations. People say that m series engine are heavier than g series
