Swapping English Racing Evo 8 into Miata

Hello, I have just bought an evo 8 engine from English Racing to swap into my miata which I will be turning AWD. I'm sure you know that the Evo 8 comes with a CVT transmission and I was thinking about keeping the trans. I wanted to put the engine in the way it would be in the EVO 8. I want the room for power adders and such so I was wondering if having the engine placed like that would have any benefits other than space. Would weight distribution be affected and if so, would it be affected positively? Atm, I'm just looking to go fast lol

Evo 8 engines would absolutely disturn the weight balance as the 4g63 is an iron block and the turbo setup also adds weight. Turning it awd may require some cutting of the chassis which already isnt very strong in the miata so do reinforce it.
