security situation is good. Road between bahrain and kalam is kacha road. but condition is good.

Nowadays road will be snowy near Kalam.

The security situation in swat is very good. In fact more safe than even our home city. Transport/Rent/food price is normal. Weather is clear skies.

Also Road to Malam Jabba is open all year round.

my friends visited swat end of march 2013, they went to mingora,malam jabba,madyan,kalam
-malam jabba was having its ski n smile event at that time so lots of snow
-madyan was cold but no snow
-kalam was very cold with around 6 feet snow on the ground
-road to kalam was rough but do-able in corolla xli
-road from kalam to ushu was partially open i.e. closed at ushu jungle

security situation was v.good, checkpoints everywhere plus swati people are friendly and generally nice to tourists
i will ask my friend to upload pics but cant guarantee
