Can we hire a corolla in Mingora for the entire trip from Mingora to Kalam to Mahodand on per day basis and what would be per day rent with fuel and without fuel?

Yes you can.
I talked to one rent a car driver who I hired from Mingora to Miandam.

He quoted Rs. 6000/- for a two day trip from Mingora to Kalam and back. From Kalam you will need to hire a 4 -Wheel Drive Jeep to go to Mahudand, which will cost a further Rs.3500. These prices include fuel also.

If your a group, then the amount can be shared. It is the best option.

Very very tiring & hot trip at Swat Festival. Worst road conditions from Khawaza Khela to Kalam. Infact there isn,t any road there just Jeep track.

ustaad u can reach mallam jabba these dayz but kalam is not reachable as of now...... also there is foracast of snow in a couple of dayz.........

In march there will be skiing festival , I have visited Malam jaba 3 Feb 2014 from there we have informed abt Festival so I think then there will be arrangement by local authorities to clear roads etc

NOTE the above Malab Jaba Picture is of past there is no PTDC Hotel on top and chair Lift also as they have been destroyed by Air force bombing i past operation However there r enough hotels near it where u can stay, We have gone to top without any major/minor prob on Nissan Sunny 2006 road r achievable with couple of bad patches.

Kalam will be very cold now a days.
Road till Bahrain is A-1 and from Bahrain to Kalam in worst condition, this 40 KMs will take about 2 hours.
The Matta side road is very good till Bagh deri and then Madyan & Bahrain.

There will be no rush now a days in Kalam, Greenery will be lesser, only few hotels will be opened.
Even then you will enjoy...................

2 days are short for Swat Valley.
In 2 days you can go till Bahrain or Malam Jabba and come back(just traveling)
add 1 more day and reach till Kalam and enjoy the real beauty of Swat Valley.

I would not suggest to bring any personal vehicle ahead Bahrain as the road condition was not very friendly ... Even though we have been to Kalam in a Hi-Ace but due to its excellent condition we dint have any problem.

Choice is yours now
