Hey everyone
I have a swift 2011 dlx. I have been driving it since 2018.
Recently i felt that the steering wheel has became hard in operation as compare to its previous condition
Got it checked with a good mechanic. He checked it and apart from being hard, also showed me that there is slight noise in steering while moving which is only heard when i go under the car not while driving. He also mentioned that the steering rack has already been adjusted by someone without opening it so we have to Open up whole assembly(gadrii)
Now he says that steering kit must be changed and if steering ‘ kangi’ (i dnt know what is that) is even slightly changed , steering rack will be replaced .
So my question from you guys are
1) should i go for opening up the assembly.? As i fear that after dismantling whole assembly it may not be fit and smooth like original ?
2) would steering will be soft again after changing the kit or would it be hard (as i have experience with power steering) ?
Please suggest me what to do
