previously i was using 2006 vitz but when i saw new swift and i drove it i was in love with it . No doubt vitz is a good car with rear leg room , airbags and good drive then swift . But swift is better in long drives , accleration and you really have to push vitz to keep it to 120km/H on motorway due to its 3cyl underpowerred engin while it also trembles a lot because of its 3cyl foundation and no one can rectify this problem what so ever . When i bought swift i tthought that its A/C will not perform like vitz but honestly guys it is better than vitz anyday and swift is also much more reliable than vitz .On uphills like new murree road vitz was like its going to die with 4 people but swift flies there with very ease and swifts built quality is also good , BUT IT DOES NOT MEANS THAN VITZ IS NOT A GOOD CAR . Vitz is 1.0 so compare it to 1.0 it cannot be compared to 1.3 . I had sold my vitz and had got swift for my self since January 2010 and i was one of the first owners and till today i m facing 0 problems only routine maintainance .-PEACE
. suspension of both cars are a kind of same. swift is much much powerfull and lively then vitz. vitz has better leg room , it has airbags and its drive is better. On uphills and motorway swift is way ahead . maintainance is a kind of same for both cars ( SWIFT IS NOT CHEAP ALTHOUGH BEING A SUZUKI ). brakes of swift are better then vitz . vitz corners better then swift . vitz is better in quality but not a lot , swift is a big improvement. vitz trambles a lot and when you turn on A/C of stationary car it shakes for a while because of its 3 cylinder foundation and this case is found in every car
Vitz is a bestie in 1.0 catagory and it should not be compared to 1.3 .
vitz is safe and smoot. parts r easily available and is a japanese car.I PREFER VITZZZZ

why waste ur hard earned money on an inferior car?Vitz was better than Cultus in everyway PakSuzuki had to bring in Swift to keep their market share
Swift is supposedly 80% imported parts waghera so its not ur "Local Car" like Alto/Cultus a simple inspection can tell u this fact aswell

man y vitz cant be compared to swift even vitz is better than swift .....swift is only better engine wise .....other wise vitz is way ahead u should know !
If you want comfort, fuel economy, convenience of automatic transmission, go for the VITZ!
If you want performance, speed, excellent road grip, go for the Swift. This car is real fun to drive and is not for the faint hearted.

basically vitz comes in different varients which are. 1.0 3cyl . 1.0 4cyl vvti. 1.3 vvti. 1.4 diesel. 1.5 vvti. 1.8 vvti
in pakistan 1.0 3 cyl is very common but my cousin changed his engin to 1.0 4cyl vvti by paying 25,000 above on 3 cyl engin from bilal gunj and i must say the car use to do lots of wheel spin on CVT tranny and it became very responsive and was very very lively . Its a good option to go for 4cyl rather than 3cyl one .

@guganalicomparing vitz to swift is just like comparing vitz to corolla GLI . So a new thread should be started " vitz or corolla gli " which is better and you know the answer yourself . Swift is to be compared with 1.3 catagory and now please dont make the excuse of hatchback . My friend the simple thing is that both cars are of different catagory they dont fall is same catagory . One is 1.0 3cyl two or three years may be 2007-2008 while one is 2010 although it is introduced later but still its 2010 and it is 1328 cc .
I am not saying that vitz is crap or what , no doubt its a wonderfull car and it is to be compared with cultus , santro , alto and joy and vitz is much much better than its rivals even its more powerfull except from cultus efi .
