Swift tyres

Hi All,

I have 2014 swift. The mileage is around 28k because it is not used that much. The current tyres are stock (bridgestone). I want to get your view if I need to change the tyres now?

The mileage is low, however, the tyres are 7 years old and the car is only driven within city with light foot. The thread looks fine. Kindly also let me know how long (in terms of years) the tyres can be used. Thank you.

I didn't know that swift came with stock Bridgestone.... weren't those yokohamas ?

Check the side wall if it is cracked or deterioted the tyres need to be changed. Generally tread of low milage tyres Is fine but the side wall gets cracked with time. Cx for cracks and decide for yourself or you can post a pic and get opinion of experts

If not hard, has no cracks or losing air, then no need to replace. If stored properly in garage under shade the paint/tyres/rubbers etc will age much less than compared to a vehicle parked outside, Also depends on which city you are in the rubber does start to deteriorate after 4-5 years but only needs replacing when the tyres either get hard or start to get punctures frequently.

For most of its life, a new swift came with Bridgestone. It's only in last couple of years they changed to yokos

We had a swift, changed its tyres around at 35k from Bridgestone to cc5 185/65.. Made a huge difference in comfort and noise.
