Taking nissan sunny on northern trip

I am planning to take nissan sunny 2006 from karachi to Islamabad then to naran then hunza then back to karachi. I will be taking breaks. Car will have 2 adults and luggage max 30 kg. Car is auto 1300 cc and sound condition. My only concern is ground clearance and Incase any car breakdown will there be mechanic and parts available in naran and hunza area?

I believe ground clearance should not be an issue, have seen many civics there. Parts availability for Nissan Sunny could be a challenge in those areas in case of any unfortunate breakdown.

Get all belts, boots and hoses checked by mechanic. Check levels of engine oil, coolant, gear oil etc. Replace oil and air filter. Drive at a reasonable speed as it's hot along the way. Hopefully everything should be OK.

I am sure that there will be an auto service shop along the way. Make sure that the car is in good condition before heading on a road trip. Bring a toolbox with you in case you encounter a problem along the way. Have fun!

Do check your brake pads - due to extensive use of breaks, most frequent failure I seen is break pads completely worn out. In addition do check your car radiator is clean and you are using coolant.
Climb to Babusar from Chillas (on return) is very steep and can cause overheat if car is not properly maintained. Rest sunny is solid car, I am sure it will be fine IA.

I took my Nissan AD 2006 to Swat in 2016 and I think Sunny has the same engine QG13DE. Its a powerful engine provided its in good condition and gaskit is fine to withstand rigorous use. I mentioned gaskit as I had to get it replaced in Bahawalpur on my return journey.

My advice would be: Have it thoroughly checked by a good mechanic (telling him that it will go to a long tour) to check the suspention, belts, boots and hoses (as advised above), all lubes and specially its AC, besides regular things. In general Nissan is a strong car to use on rugged surfaces so no worry on its capabilities. Also, its widely used across Pakistan so in all likelyhood you would have technical support available.

as being owner of the car you can better predict your car's reliability or behavior in past, i personally drove 1993 model khyber from islamabad to hunza to khunjarab pass and nagar valley upto hopper glacier in 2017,
without any major issue, its wheel baring started making noise in hunza which i get checked but mechanic said don't worry you can drive back to Islamabad and can change it there as it is not making any damage other then noise
