I wish people could read this forum before they go on buying Focal. Only few percent of guys are on Pakwheels, all others go straight to Hall Road and are ripped off. I had a similar experience. Went to Laser Audio, he showed me fake Focal speakers. Why does he import fake and inject in market? Mainly cause he knows it's in demand and importing fake would give him 100% profit. Although I know him for a very long time and he had been honest with me most of the times but still, he wanted me to send customers to him and I thought to myself what the h e l l.
Don't go to Hall Road, ever. At least with pre market study. I wanted to buy DVD 8450 last month, I called a shop to send brand new in my car while I was parked outside. Suddenly I thought I should not buy it like this even when I knew the guy. I went to the shop and checked the DVD, it was f u c k i n g used unit, I was like you faker get me a brand new or I'll tear down your shop. I know whose HU was it and how many times it had been sold as well. God d a m n.
If they can do this to known members then imagine what a simple guy with no knowledge would experience.
Focal has found this counterfeit brand in market, it's on their Australian website. How to tell fake from original. Must read for everyone.
I would suggest buyers to register their products, if the serial is wrong then it's probably fake.
