and why do we dress up so formally to go to our offices when we can just wear some shorts and sunnies and get going without having to take so much hassle? :d why dont we exhibit such a nonchalant behaviour in our offices? or colleges for that matter..

I'm not saying that you shouldn't follow any decorum. You can go to office and the only thing required is clean/well pressed clothes (whatever they are). Some may say that tie/pants must etc. In namaz you should be clean (your body and cloths) and then its between you and ALLAH. I take it as the levels of firmness in Imaan. The stronger your faith is the more well dressed you'd be while saying namaz with perfume on.

The underlying idea is to cover your sattar and say Namaz whole heartedly. Thats my point and its better than not saying namaz altogether. The more you'll say namaz the more love of GOD will rise in you and then the more well dressed you'll be while saying it because "to me" these are higher levels of faith.

wik_a you have definitely NOT read all of my replies :d look for the one where i have talked about sattar and how it should be the least of the criteria that should be followed..if your sattar is covered up and your dress is clean, you're good to go
