Taxes relief on non-Asian cars' import withdrawn

My quistion Is simple

in the light of new tax policy will the prices of 1.8 premio or 1.6 corolla reconditioned be reduced? if yes then how much will this policcy effect on prices of toyota & honda imported cars under 1800cc..
please give a clear answer..

Which effectively means there was previously an EXEMPTION on imports of Non-Asian cars...!!! which has now been taken back..!! And now they wouldn't be exempt from the said duties/taxes.. Which further means that they previously were EXEMPT from such duties - which in turn means that they were cheaper to import since they were EXEMPT and were NOT exposed to any such duties...!!!!! :-# damn... was it that hard..?

ASIAN MAKE DUTY has ALWAYS been lesser than the DUTY on NON ASIAN MAKES.

dudes its very simple.. just see the new amendments in the context of 800-1800cc cars only (that bracket doesn't include bigger cars as some of the guys have been suggesting, camaros, hummers etc.).. there's nothing to be confused about.. read my very first post, or the one quoted by Mohtashim dude on this page.. and thats about it, thats what the new policy aims to achieve..

In a nutshell though..

Non-Asian makes falling within the mentioned bracket would now be even more expensive to import.. thats it.. nothing else.. the rest is all hogwash..

YES , and i guess the PDF image posted of the duty structure of 2008 proves it. although it is not complete , but you can clearly differentiate the difference of ASIAN and NON MAKES.
