
Consisting of students from different engineering disciplines studying in Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Team Hammerhead Arc has participated in Shell Eco Marathon since 2009. Last year the team stunned the audience finishing an overall 6th position in Asia while participating in the Prototype Battery Electric category in Manila Philippines. The car produced a mileage of 205.6km/kWh falling short by only 57.8km/kWh from the 1st place. This year Team Hammerhead Arc is uphold the legacy of its predecessors form GIKI.
The previous accomplishments of the team are as follows
February 2014, Team Toyota Hammerhead Arc finished at 6th position in battery-electric category. Impressed the Shell Asia Manager and Pakistan?s Ambassador to Philippines visited and commended team?s innovative creation.
2012 Malaysia, Team Hammerhead achieved record mileage of 270km/liter, three times the mileage received by any Pakistani team before and won praise from Shell supervisors for its aerodynamic design and light weight.
2010 & 2011 Malaysia, Team made a national record of 90km/liter. Team Aqua I & II qualified for design and safety awards.
2009 Germany, Team Exodus (GIKI) won an honorary mention in the communication and marketing award.

With an extremely light body, 39kg one of the lightest in SEM '14, the team is expected to give its competitors a run for their money. An extremely low drag coefficient coupled with low rolling resistance Michelin tires approved by Shell and a two-way joystick for steering control enhancing visibility from inside the vehicle are some of the car?s main features. Apart from this the team is looking forward to make the car even lighter with a carbon-fibre chassis. With flawless clearance of their safety and technical inspection Team Hammerhead Arc is surely a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming Shell Eco Marathon 2015.
