who did the photography and which camera was used?

My aging and almost retired Nikon D70s was used. For most of the shots later on, a Hoya Polarizing filter was used. Only two lenses were used, a lens I had borrowed from Ali Sarwar (good friend of ours) which was a Nikon Nikkor 16-35mm F4 VR AFS and my Sigma f2.8 70-200 (obviously Nikon mount). Both lenses were great.

I had retired from photography many years ago, perhaps 5 years ago. I miss it much now, so maybe when my ride isn't asking for upgrades, I can start channeling money out again.

Glad you enjoyed these shots. I can't wait for the landscapes to begin though.

@fihsak if i am not wrong i saw u in chilas(time 7 or 730 pm).i was on my way to astore(2 landies 93 prado,bj 60 + 93 surf)i recognized u but then it was too late to turn back as we were already late

That's correct sir. You were gracious enough to say hello. In hindsight, we should have just all packed up and moved on together, would have been a nice little formation.

thanks Asad bhai aka desetdevil.... and i bet the roger peter is essential with 4x4 and i must say it was saviour for TU at some wrong turns and the calls we transmit was for more than 15kms without base.... simply amazing and thanks for being so caring towards TU

Thanks boss. Mickie is a school going potato who has done nothing so far to contribute to this thread apart from pose. The trip stats are with me, but there are segments in which either Mickie was ill, or sleeping, that have not been accurately covered. Looking to fix those soon. Vich list is something we will all have to contribute to.

yes sir surefire awaits you because we were happy with LED headlights... this year we were more geared up with camping gears and gadgets than last year.... still are short of lot more and may borrow from your stock next year.... Truck-lites LED are amazing and now moggers have no fear keeping lites on in day time travelling as you noticed from the pictures.... yes it was only a "Show Off" by show offs...

DD, the man who kept his cool, throughout the trip. He also showed off some major balls, as the driver of DeeMog (one of the Unimogs). Relentless efforts by him were made on both Unimogs in Lahore to get them up and running and trip worthy. Also the LTC of G4 and a fine friend.

Balls showed of at high altitude water crossing of Bara Pani and descent from Babusar till challas in rainy night with no lights on..... and last but not the least was drive from Challas via babusar to Lahore

we plaaned to leave early eveing to reach Babusar at lunch time but some last minutes settings and show off stuff that delayed and we left i remember correctly at 23:00

Guru G was keen to keep his stuff in tora bora... moggers offered him a Per Liter space in Bee and DeeMog but he insisted to be in camel tropphy mode...
