Me and Basharatu were never happy with the tyre we were using on our Mogs. started of with Lasa, more of an onroad and bit of off road, than we found Mitas MPT 05 and they were really good off the road but main issue was the manufacturing date year 2000 :(... we litterally ripped off rubber on our last year trip to north ... very hard rubber hence drive was also not comfi.... we always wished for Michelin or the continental... and we found them brand new with manufacturing date 35th week 2009... we were lucky to find these tires for both of our mogs with spare wheel as well...

its a tubeless tyre and can be use with tube as well.... i am planning to convert my mogs rim to tubeless and for that i need to find the valve stem that i am sure i will find....

I think we were discussing this tyre subject since page 26 of this forum :), finally we have got what these rides deserved, lets see how they come out after installation on the rides!

We are diverting from new tyres to rally mode, honestly this hasnt been the purpose, but we dont mind giving it a try

Lovely shots boy! Notice the tire pressure in one of the pics above. Remember tire pressure, Bash? Made a huge difference on the ugly KKH last year.

Yes boy, i think he is on 12 PSI, air pressure science made the difference on KKH, we were cruising on KKH and tyres were handling all the bumps, i reduced it to 12 when we left Skardu for Chilaas in the heat

Only drawback of low Air pressure is it eats the rubber if you drive like this on the metaled surface, DeeMog's tires turned into slicks when he drove on Mway back from North!

i am seriously thinking to get DeeMog a rally makeover... good find Basch... Team unimog is in serious business now...

@GG... yes boy that was real comfi drive after reducing the tyre pressure ... i was running at 15psi... and it was my bad didnt notice airing up again before getting M2 ....

@Basch... boy off road we can go low to 15psi front/10psi rear and on road 30 front/ 25 rear.

BK here, Nice skidy terrain, recorvery seen is similar to we face here in soft sand near river beds of Ravi commonly, 2 weeks back frontier club also went through the same situation!

Thanks DeeDee & Basharatu,

Just to share with you, my 421 fever is over and I am thinking to go for 416. I like its 5.7L Turbo (OM352) engine and hydraulic mechanism. I have studied 416, its a on-road and off-road non-stop machine, very good mileage (8 KM/L) and lot more........ What is your advise..........
