@nmshaikh you heard right Mog is for life and axles made to last forever. Discussion on axles related to some transplant with jeep or FJ if I guess right. Only maintenance required is around 15ltrs of gear oil change in gear box , hubs, axles and for years u won't need to change again because of low mileage being hobby ride. Regular maintenace as simple as any other car. Drum brakes need regular service. Once restored properly you won't need to visit workshop soon.

And those battery kill switch you sent, working great on our Mogs :).

Thank you for your response. This is great. Now a secondary question before i start looking for one...How much should a good solid project mog cost? Lets say, a vehicle that requires mostly cosmetic attention (and some mechanical looking after if it is an army auction vehicle).
BTW I was in Mangla today and saw several Mogs still in active service with the Army. Are they the same version as those with various moggers or is it that the in-service vehicles are an updated / later version than the auctioned vehicles?

Sir it might be you saw bigger version 416 in Mangla because to my knowledge 421 are grounded. Both looks almost the same with apparent diference of placemement of snorkle on the right side of 421 and left on 416. Few of U1300 are also inducted last year so we need to wait for 25yrs:P

Currently 421 might cost you around 400 to 500k for mog with cosmetics only.

Sweet to say the least. In fact I love this Caterpillar Yellow. I thought about painting my J40 this color but gave it up. Though it looks great and suits the Mog but Ideally i would have liked to see it in matt finish. Any way its your car your choice.
