I am really excited to be part of the club. I wasnt much determined but now after seeing the pictures of you guys having fun I am getting more excited. I got the mog from an auctioner in Tarnol area. According to him its in running condition. Though I didnt check it yet, will be getting the delivery after Eid and then to start work on it. I am not sure where to take it and how to restore it.

I didnt know its a big punga, if I knew it before buying it I would have not taken it. But now I have hope since now I know ppl who are willing to help me.

By the way whats the latest with your mog? Is it ready? I saw some pics of you guys off roading in mud, is that your restored mug?

thx for sharing the pics...so you got the BeeMog version :)....congratulations bro. we just want to see for how long you remain excited :).....the success story behind each PUNGA is pateince... believe me you will be the restoration incharge if you want to enjoy and remain excited....

good that mog is in good condition....btw how much the mog killer charge you?

yah thats DeeMog mud bashing pics and she is ready to go offroad but upgradation process is a never ending story:). for details on full restoration, i suggest you to go through all 50 pages of this thread to see how the PUNGA came to life...

, I need Help in finding a fabricator who can neatly cut the aluminum sheet to fix the speedo meter & other gauges

Cutting Alluminium (or steel) sheet cleanly with a finish is a technically demanding issue without proper equipment. The usual way here is to use a chisel and a hammer to cut out the desired shape out of the sheet and then grind the edges. There will be some dents but in the hands of an expert, the finished product should be good. Offcoarse we are not comparing to Plasma or Laser here.

Can you post a picture of the proposed panel or the guages you want to fit into it? What guage sheet do you want to use? 14 G would take more work to cut but will give a better finish. Will wait on the pics.

@uzcheema, welcome to the club and glad to hear the news of ur deal & now I have got some company in Isloo J. I have seen that mog @ Haji Saleem's daira. Has he given u exactly the same truck? If yes the do ask him that U want all 4 wheels to look equal, change the front tyres with Lasa or vice versa, also take the spare wheel. Also ask Haji Saleem's mechanic to start the engine before U drive the machine out from the yard.

Your Step 1 would be registration, Haji Guys can assist in it (Lab test assistance is given by them), they charge a lot but the process is hassle free, it would be good if U have someone in ETO office to speed-up the process.

The Job is not easy, I have a mechanic who can assist in servicing up this rig & he can do most of the Jobs & is very nominal, the god thing is that he will do all the jobs in your garage, so ur family wouldn’t have much complaints

@ Basharat, Good to have you in Islamabad. You are right its from the same guy. I dont know him though, but I send someone else to buy it and he gave it for 170K. I think the price is okay? You are so right about the registration cost, he is telling as Rs. 25K which sounded higher to me. Let me know the costing, I know someone from ETO and send someone for registration. And you are also right about the mog, its not exactly the same one he has given me, there were two when I went there but when my guy went to buy it, there was just one left back. According to the seller, both are equally good. So what do you suggest, should I get the mog delivered at my home after getting the laboratory done? You can send the mechanic at my house?

@DeeDee, I just dont know anything about the type I got, whats the difference between dee and bee mogs? and what model is it? 406 , 416 or something else? and what year is it ?

@uzcheema....some gearing leason

in 421 gear box there are 4 levers to operate from:

1) main gear four point lever
2) two point lever for reverse and forward
3) three point lever for low, high ratio and nuetral.
4) three point lever with 2x4, 4x4 and 4x4 with diff locks

when you slect the forward gear you have 4 forward option to select from either you want to drive 2x4 or 4x4 either in low or high. when you slect revese you have 4 reverse ratios to chose from main lever either you want to revers in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear only in low 2x4 or 4x4 or 4x4 diff lock. so if you are not able to go forward you have the ground control to reverse with a massive gear box power

5) optional PTO drive lever that i think only my mog has so far in pakistan.

6) optional 2 speed crawler gear attachement to gear box but you can either attach PTO or crawler at one time.

7) Hand brake..

Congrats uzcheema for your umog... remeber, buying it is the easy part. setting it up right is another story. be patience and learn from Dee and Bee.
good thing is you have these resident experts on mogs which you can benefit from.

just curious, if you don't know much about mogs then what made you buy them and how were you planning to fix and get it running??
