and those MPT81s are coolest/softest rock crawler ever made for mogging.... but again price is too high.... n4nomi boy can you get us a good deal ..... doesnt matter if they are 4 to 5 years old?...

Appologies for a lot of delay. Did not visit 'our' Blog for a long time.
Hope all is OK.
As you know, Mani Mog is running on tractor tyres. I am looking for some 11.5. R20's or even 12.5R20's. If you come accross some, please do let me know.
and hope I will be able to remind you of a great favour that you promised: some grease nipples. These unfortunately are not available here in Abbottabad, and could not get in Rawalpindi also.
So, if at all possible,...........

11.5 in Michelin should be available in 2nd hand tyre market in Lahore since they are used more in desert terrains by Military.

And how about a winter trip to Shogran or Sharan?
Will include some hiking at a slow pace, (to accommodate myself), and a night's stay, with some wood log fire and a Bar B Q Dinner?
Limited program of course.
Not like the great Snow Cross.
If interests you, will plan around end of January. Pl. let me know.

Doc sb us for us not US.A :).... Nomi deals in tires and he is a distributor of continental tires in karachi....

lovely and mouth watering snow cross offer indeed.... i will be more interested in Bar B Q than hiking :P.... sir we can materialize this trip and we will be taking BeeMog and tora bora as G4 rides.... DeeMog being far away from north and is gearing up of Summar mogging activity, so let her rest in peace for the winters....

also lets see what plan is going to be finalise by IJC and 4x4Engaged? pertaining to snow cross..... lets wait and see

for snow chains that we were discussing.... please share picture of chain to be hunt for fleet of Unimog....

still waiting for the delivery of greasing nipples.... i have added nipples for BeeMog as well....

Basheer i have found hub bearing and yes the geniun one .... there are four bearings runs in the hub and this is the bigger one....

Unimog Maintenance Job Card (after hibernation of 5Months):

-Change engine oil.
-Change oil filter.
-Service oil bath air filter and change oil as well.
-check oil level in transmission.
-Change oil in Hubs.
-Brake service. check Master brake cylinder and wheel brake cylinder and change rubber washers if required. check all pipe for condition. check thickness of brake lining.
-Check engine mountings and replace if required.
-Grease at 6 points (4 points at front wheels and 2 points torque tubes). check torque tube boot for condition.
-check oil level in steering box and adjust play in steering.
-Hand brake cable to be adjusted.
-Check v belts, retighten or change if required.
-Check all hose pipes for leaking and cracks. change if necessary.
-Check clutch working properly. lubricate release shaft of drive clutch.
-check drivers cab mountings and retighten.
-check valve clearance adjustment.
-check and change oil in differentials.
-tie rod end greasing.
-recharge batteries and go offroad

DeeMogs started today after changing glow plugs and as always half self start even after hibernation for last 5months.... simply love Merc and 240D.... Mashallah... i drove DeeMog to workshop where above maintenance will took place....

So Bashartu and I just went on a freezing small offroading session after the maintenance work was done on Beemog. Mashallah, really enjoyed it! Someone forgot to put the brake servo cover for the brake oil, and we leaked pretty bad, but still enjoyed as we then went to have some warm soup. Mogs kee jay ho.

Bash it was really a fast maintenance and then to test drive.... whats pending on the job card?

damn i missed the hot soup .... GG boy its a Mog-Leak so nothing to worry about
