Speaking of the DCT vs. Manual debate, I've become a huge fan of the Noble M600. I know it has had its thunder stolen by the new McLaren and the 458, but I still think it's special, even if it's more expensive. It's more "McLaren" than McLaren's newest product. I don't know if I'm making sense. I like the fact that it's a very well resolved "mechanically tuned" car, perfect suspension, excellent (steel) brakes, and power to make you scream in terror, especially considering that it apparently doesn't feel overpowered even with 650 bhp and 604 lb-ft of torque. I hope some magazine does a back to back between the McLaren, the Noble and the 458. I even prefer the engine note to that of the Ferrari, a relatively apologetic rumble at low RPM turning into silenced thunder, like a Messerschmit lining up for a bombing run (one Ferrari sound that I loved was that from the F355). The fact that it's faintly reminiscent of an Ascari A10 and a Spyker doesn't hurt either.
