Masha-Allah, thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures. I was honestly tired of seeing only the Northern Areas Snowy pictures on the trips by most Pakistanis, 99.99% of times. Pakistan has alot more to share, and alot more beauty than just Northern Areas. I am an American of Pakistani Heritage, and appreciate every bit of information that I can gather about my ancerstors homeland. I read a story during high school years about Thal area of Pakistan in America. The story was about a girl named Shaharbano. This autobiography of Shaharbano also depicted scenes from Thal desert Mela, men folk selling the camels, the toys that she bought and which you have also shown us so elaborately. That story also had mentioned about how Shaharbano was wedded off at young age of 12 or 13 years of age. I protested to my American teacher that story was not accurate and that also in America woman are not as free as people in America think. The teacher replied that in America the women have choice while in your Pakistan, they are forced. I got angry at the teacher and shouted back that is not true. This all happened almost 20 years ago and after viewing the pictures of Thal desert I immediately recalled story about Shaharbano that I read so long ago. Thanks again for sharing such memories.
