^^ Optra is going to be replaced by Cruze next month. A new generation of Aveo is also coming soon worldwide, not sure if that is going to come here or this car. The issue is that back in 2008 PPP govt increased import duties heavily, it is very difficult to price new car imports (CBU) competitively until and unless there is a policy change by the government, which seems highly unlikely under the current regime. Profit margin by Nexus on its cars is far far less than other companies already. Although prices of current Chevrolet cars in the country are high but they are justified if you consider the heavy amount of taxation they are subjected to.
