Gel batteries max changing voltage is 14.4-14.6. Which is even higher but 54 is less.

Ibhope this will clear any confusion now.These are my charging settings
Bulk is set at 56.4 while float at 54 while my load exceeds than pv input whole of my pv power used by load and nothing left for charging as i never charged batteries from grid
Advantages of Gel Batteries over Wet or Flooded batteries???

Gel batteires have life 4 times more than flooded ones and have true deep cycle as you can dishcarge these at 50% DOD without any restrictions.While on the other hand flooded ones are used for crank starting puposes a sudden discharge for a very shirt while and then charge again via rectifiers.
Which ones are you using? whats the capacity? Price?

It is 1 kva tesla PWM hybrid 12 V system with 155 AH PGM narada battery.Aim is to use day lights to power 2- 3 ceiling fans and charge battery as well.. Pv is mono module . Currently 300 watts but plan is to add 300 more.Done as DIY.. installation of circuit breakers in PV line and AC out line. Cost us 85k

Dear experts...What should be bulk and float charge setting for this type of battery. . Inverter identify it as agn battery and bulk and float charge settings are 14.1 and 13.5 volt respectively. .can we increase bulk to 14.8 and float to 14.2 volt for this type of battery. .experts opinion awaited
Your setting of bulk and float is OK coz its a gel type battery and its clearly mentioned that float v at 25?c is 2.25v per cell so 13.5 is OK.
