Anyway going for @rizwan400 advise and getting 24volt homage UPS(1350watt = 16300rs) and another battery(AGS 175w(actually 150w) = 13000rs) to make 24v supply... later for solar will connect PWM charger and panels with it.

In this system, we don't store solar energy in batteries ... we store solar energy in the form of heat, and the method is to heat salt or oil and store it in gas geyser type thing that keeps its heat at night. this system can run direct but no use, as we need constant steam pressure. and u will be wasting lots of heat as water boils at only 100 deg. thus u need something that will store heat up to 500 degree. and use some of it to boil water.

Now, steam engines are big problem. u cant get one small enough for prototype project and large steam turbines are expensive like crazy.(not to mention they need much larger solar setup).

so if u can make small steam engine or turbine. your half work is done.

hmmm got it...but this system will be very completed....direct drive system will be much simpler...but as you said that will not work at night but for day time it will be good....

i think first i should start gathering info of how to make a steam engine...
how much horse power engine you think will be sufficient for prototype ????

Buy 800/1000 watts Solar panels and 30A PWM charger. Connect this setup with your existing UPS will help you to control this disaster.

14000 to 16500 for charge controller. Good quality thin film solar panel @ 23000 rs for 121 watts Solar plate Sharp Japan with 25 years warranty.
23000 x 7 = 161,000
Cables, solar panel Stand etc are additional but I am sure it can be done in 200,000 rs. Total wattage = 847 watts

Problem with homage is due to dust its fuse has to be cleaned frequently, charging is very slow etc, trips for unknown reason, has to be switched on every time it runs out of charging.
In short its a pain.

I am using one made by some local guy and its the best.. 1kv and even with 18hrs load shedding its running good plus been 3 years since i changed batteries.
But even i cant find the guy now hence bought homage which was pain full experiance.

Every UPS/Inverter has Transformer. Nowadays sellers are misguiding people that new UPS is avaiable which is transformerless. This is not true. In PWM (small sized) UPS, frequency is increased upto kHz range which reduces the size of Tranformer drastically. After this size reduction, the transformer can still stepup the voltage which is also in KHz but this high voltage AC is then rectified to make high voltage DC. This DC can directly be converted into AC using the H-Bridge Circuit. This circuit is again gated at 50 Hz by another PWM controller IC. Hence at the ouput, the frequency is 50 Hz.

Today I visited Nizam Energy and they gave a quote of Rs 436,100 for 1050 watts load setup.

Canadian Solar Panel 1900w with 10 yrs warranty Rs 209,000
Axpert Inverter 2kva with 1 yr warranty Rs 38,000
Battery 150ah / 12V qty 4 (dry) with 1 yr warranty Rs 114,000
rest like structure, power cables
db box, transportation and installation

Total comes to Rs 436,100 . This is with 3 hours backup on batteries. as per their calculation the load is 6100wh during day and 3350 wh during night on batteries.

This is very expensive. I do not have an electrical background / knowledge, so a full DIY is out.

Any other options in Lahore for solar.

A solar setup is not a cheap fix and if you try to go the cheap route you will compromise on reliability. Go for a small setup initially and upgrade it later on when you have more cash to spare.

What is the custom duty on importing solar panels and batteries?

I heard there is no custom duty when importing whole package including battery +solar panels in same container.

But if we import separately like batteries in separate container and panels in separate container then whats the case?

Because battery company and solar panel company operate at different ends.. and we cant put both in same container

There is no duty on Solar products but consult your clearing agent before import. It can be import in separate container and can separate bill of entry and from different location or manufacturer.

Branded UPS"s always break down. Plus they dont have any service, I am using a locally manufactured UPS for the past 5 years and it has been working like a charm. We have 2 units and require just change of battery water every one-Two months and battery replacement every 2 and a half years. The guy who installed it is a UET graduate and always comes personally if there is any problem, he is extremely courteous and does a wonderful job. I am sorry but I cant quote the company here as this is against the rules of this forum but if anyone is interested u can PM me, I will give his contact details. His UPS company is based in lahore

A UPS or inverter is not 100% efficient. That means if it is using 100% power then may be 80% or even less (depending on the efficiency of the inverter) is converted and stored into the battery. And then when it converts battery DC power into AC, more efficiency losses occur.
