@rizwan400, thanks for taking an interest. We currently have a non-brand name UPS that states it is 2000W 24 VDC. There are two Volta NS175 12V batteries (21 plate, so I assume they are 150 AH). I agree that a PWM CC would be more appropriate here. Here's what I would like to do:
1. Add four 240W panels for 960W with a charge controller.
2. In order to achieve something like a DIY hybrid setup, I need to add some sort of auto transfer switch to flip between solar and grid. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any logic/prioritisation capability. (Basically I'm trying to replicate the functionality of a hybrid inverter like an Axpert 2KVA).
3. I'd like to minimize the expense plus get some learning out of this.
Any advice on design, equipment, prices, and retailers would be appreciated. Thanks.
