I intend to get bifacial double glass solar panels, as per my research and manufacturers recommendations these panels are more efficient and durable than monofacial single glass panels but upon visiting the market i have been informed by many sellers that bifacial double glass panels fade due to the double glass and thus lose their power generating efficiency rapidly hence i should not buy them. I find it difficult to believe this bullshit from the sellers, none of the sellers in this market had bifacial panels in stock (most likely i think its due to higher price and lower demand in my area but sellers attribute it to the panels fading issue). kindly share your knowledge or experience.

Wondering if bifacial is worth it. How typical output (%) from your panels on a clear sunny day? Do you have to clean/wash the underside of the panels as well?

My panels are on uplift structure, tilt angle is 8. There is a marginal bifacial gain specially in low light and overcast conditions.

There is benefit. There are lot of side by side comparison videos available on YouTube.

Another point to consider before installing bifacial is do a feasibility. Sometimes the solar site make no sense to install bifacial due to unavailability of light reflecting from the bottom.

Painting the roof top with roof master like product also increases bifacial efficiency. It has white silky finish

What about cleaning, do you find a lot of dust build-up on underside? do you have to clean that often as well?

I also have bifacial panels. Underside don't get dirty. It stays clean for long durations. The upper side do get very dirty with time.

Yours is also elevated structure? Mine would be elevated only 2ft (to avoid shade from roof boundary wall) but roof itself is painted with reflective white paint. So wondering if I will see additional benefit

Yes elevated structure. I got them installed 3 months ago, but I have not yet painted the roof with white. I will do that soon, InshAllah

Instead of painting, get aluminum sheet installed on roof, from where the light can reflect on the panels.
