since 2010 APC is an orphan brand in PK. Grey market is getting APC brand from Malaysia & of Afghanistan transit goods without tech support & warranty. Volume stockists have zero tech support and zero warranty. If you cross check from apc website with the serial numbers APC will inform you of country it is exported for. Tech guidance they will provide online only after warranty is over.

APC is acquired by schneider electric and that is very much available in Pakistan. Schneider electric deals in verything so they very much will provide APC but I guess due to price factor people prefer second hand stuff

its available in hafeez center. used one. search it on third and fourth floor. you will find plenty of dealers. and they work fine.

I have very bad experience with PCM PROTON brand ups purchsed from Regal Saddar, there are two shops at Regal Saddar and they are two brothers, look like very honest and decent but unfortunately really not good or cooperative. Once you purchased from them then they did not recognize you.

I used to be a fan of Aurora and have 2 pure sinewave models in my home. From a performance point of view Pure Sinewave Aurora works well, no noisy fans. But when it breaks down, their service center charges an arm and a leg to fix it. So I would suggest you stay away from them. Second issue is slow charging. It's good for health of batteries, but not good during extended load shedding.

From what I have heard APC is best. It has pure sinewave output and being APC, it is rock solid. If my Aurora breaks down, I am getting an APC.

Best are the desi ones. My electrician made 2 1000 watt ones while sitting in our home. Super genuine stuff bought from hall road. And working well. For each floor.

Imported dont go well in summer schedules. Hehe

^ My only issue with desi UPS is that they don't output the correct waveform for inductive loads (fans, motors etc.). But if you don't mind whining fans then go for desi. Cheaper to build and maintain.

I have APC 1500 one but yet to start using it. Planning to get 2000 one too. Wonder how slow charging and it works in summer

Its a hydrometer. Used to measure the specific gravity of battery cells. I use it often to keep a check of battery chargibg levels and never let it over charge or stay undercharged and then manipulate the battery full variable on the ups fix voltage card. This has really helped batteries go upto 3 years mashAllah.
The green battery touched 3 yrs last December.

Yes. I am. But it is not really hybrid. Hybrid ones are more expensive.
