Can anyone please give a rough cost estimate for a 1000w hybrid solar system. I already have a APC 1500VA and another APC 2200VA UPS if needed. I also already have Flooded batteries.

So hybrid system what I understand works with the grid. So for example if I have only 500w load, it wont take any energy from wapda and also charge the batteries. If I go above 1000w it would take that extra bit of energy consumed from wapda. So I only get billed from wapda when I go above 1000w or when its dark. Please correct me I am wrong.

1000 watt hybrid inverter Taiwanese cost 30000 and you need 600watt panels to charge 200amp batteries. . But two batteries don't give long backup but usually effective for day usage even if no wapda power

I don't know a lot but hybrid are automatically controlling charge and power supply. Usually they r programable btw grid and solar.. and simple ups are just to charge batteries from grid

its like they have this MPPT and pwm Techniques to charge the battery, and control and monitor the charge system?

Hybrid inverters like Infini can basically work off-grid, on-grid and also feed surplus power back to the grid. The inverter can automatically detect presence of solar power early in the morning or lack of solar in the evening and switch over to the preferred power mode automatically.

The inverter will automatically switch to batteries, grid or solar depending on the load and solar production. You can set power priorities. For eg if you set solar as first priority, grid as second and battery as third, then the inverter will use maximum power from solar, and if load exceeds solar production, then it will draw remaining power from grid, if grid is not available, it will use both solar and batteries to manage the load. A regular inverter does not have the ability to manage the load in this way.

If your solar production exceeds your requirement, then you can feed power back to the grid. Net metering has been approved in Pakistan and now you can sell power to the power company. The new smart meters will have the ability to credit you for power that you sell to the grid, thus reducing your electricity bill.

Other than that hybrid inverters can automatically monitor energy consumption and generate reports. Remote monitoring of the system over the internet is also possible.

Its not a Hybrid inverter, Also it cant be a 3.5KVA. Manufacturer only offer this inverter in 3KVA or 4KVA. 3KVA is available for 32,000. Refer to below link for more info. Axpert series from Voltronics Power is not a Hybrid Inverter.

Your Hybrid concept is right, but there is no solution for Hybrid system other than Hybrid inverter. You cant make Hybrid solution by APC UPS.

Difference is between Hybrid inverter and off grid inverter is simple.
Hybrid inverter will get commercial power according to your need, example if your required power is 1000 watts and your Solar Panels only generate 700 Watts, Inverter will take 300 Watts from commercial power.
Normal inverter is only a switch between Solar power and Commercial power, Example you can only select one option, either you connect solar with batteries or your load. If you connect your solar source to load, when solar power got low, your system got triped. It will not take commercial power for balance the load. If you connect to batteries and your battery got full, inverter start wasting solar power. Similarly if your batteries are drained and solar power is not sufficient to charge batteries than it will not charge batteries properly, regardless commercial power is available.

Can't solar system of lower loads below 2kW cannot run on "on grid" ? because a company refuses to install it and prefer it to use as off grid.

Thanks bro for agreeing with me... I am not against branded ups as they have better modified sine wave output and some other plus points but when it comes to cheap maintenance then desi are good as new kits are much better now as compared to previous times.

I had a very old basic kit which did not even had low battery setting working, result was it drained my battery to 8 volts many times even then my Phoenx xp165 battery lasted 3 seasons easily. Recently change my kit + module in just 2600 and went again for Phoenix UGS175 this time

so you exchanged by giving your old and paid the difference of 1200Rs?
Can you please tell me if you know the price of new transformer of 500w or 700w as I have my previous kit lying with me and bought transistors to redo my plates and only missing the transformer so to go ahead with my DIY ups

Nasir can you shed some light on the differences between old and new kit for desi ups. I have 2 desi ups and both have 6 year old kits in them. Should I get the kits replaced with new ones? What will be the advantages?
