Nasir can you shed some light on the differences between old and new kit for desi ups. I have 2 desi ups and both have 6 year old kits in them. Should I get the kits replaced with new ones? What will be the advantages?

The old kits didnt really have battery low, fixed voltage and battery full variables which made the battery lives short. Bcz we couldnt control these settings. Now a days the kits have these variables. And it really helps the battery life.

Rightly said by invincible_doc bro. Old kits miss many good stuff like he mentioned. but most importantly they miss battery low.. My old kit was having battery full, mains low, overload and even battery low variables. All variables were working fine but only battery low was not working due to missing a 22Ohm resistor (I wonder how much they saved by not adding a Rs.1 resistor :S ) So when there was extreme loadshedding for 5-20 hours continuous, my ups didn't get tripped on low voltage and battery voltage reached to 8 volts... Disaster

Now upgraded to IB kit and module and adjusted every thing with new battery... Double tested the battery low works ....lets see in this summer... I urge you to upgrade to new kit as new kit has battery voltage sensing circuit and automatically adjusts amps when battery reaches near full.

I just installed 1040 Watts (Trina Solar) Solar system at my home to run About 40% load. 3kva Axpert inverter is installed with PWM. Actually. I want to set output power priority like 1)- Solar if not available or low then Wapda and then 3rd batteries. I only want to used my batteries as a back up. But in setting i only found these three setting like SOL (Solar then batteries then Wapda) UEL (Wapda then Batteries then Solar) SBU (Solar then batteries then Wapda). Please can some one help me about this if i can set according to my requirement like first solar then wapda then batteries. Awaiting your valuable comments.

Which type of panels mono or ploy are better especially keeping in view high temp upto 45-50 in islamabad and cloudy sometimes in moonsoon or in winter like we are having now a days... and which company panels are good... canadian solar or german or chinese like yingli

Brother i am looking for new ups but i dont have any idea that from where and what to buy? I am sorry im new with this stuff, im also from Lahore, kindly please advise in detail that from where I can buy a ready to use desi ups with all of the newest function kit preinstalled. Thank you

i have used these type and dont worry there is not a mode listed with name SUB(solar,utility,battery) as u want,but if you select Sol as first than it will shift to Utility 2nd and 3rdly battereis if wapda is also absent at that time.The inverter will shift to battery after solar, only if you have slected SBU mode.So dont select this mode and you are good to go as you want.
and i understand your concern that when the sun is dim after 3-4 pm than the system starts draining batteries because solar power alone is not enough to carry the load.the newer Axpert system are intelligent,mine shifts to wapda even at 4-5 pm when sun is dim but still keeps charging batteries from solar untill sun set.
i soon will be posting 10KVA solar summery of wapda bills of 1 year in our hospital setup.you wont believ how much we have saved
just waiting for this month bill to arrive to complete 1 year bills after solar

Thanks for your reply :). So you mean i should select SOL and it will manage according to my requirement like 1)- Solar then Wapda and last option Battery???? About Saving i will be able to calculate from next month for accurate numbers

By the way i am using the same setting you suggested as SOL. But still i can see it is using first Solar then Battery OR (Solar + Battery together) then Wapda. If you have any solution then please let me know because i dont want to use Battery as second option, i just need them for backup in case Wapda is not available.

The reason why there arent any 2KW On Grid systems is;
1) On Grid systems are for areas where there is constant Grid available, thats just the requirement of the inverter otherwise it doesnt funtion.
2) On Grid inverters are usually built to run heavy machinery in premises such as Factories hence their Minimum Capacity is 10KW and go up to 1MW.

For small systems, Off Grid or Hybrid systems are most recommended.

dear rizwan400 is it necessary to install separate output neutral wiring for infini inverter. Or should I use the neutral which is already installed.
what will be the drawbacks of using the already installed neutral wiring.

Total Cost was around 10 , it will be cheaper now because my dad purchased panels 3 years ago and installed them now!
Now the panels are much cheaper!
