it's 27 plates battery with 200 AMP.

it served me for more than 1.5 years.

else try to find a good brand dry battery for long life.

I have german deutsche pure cine wave ups 2000VA 12 volts. I used AGS 175AH last time and it gave me around 1.5 to 2 hrs backup and it lasted for around 8 to 9 months. Now i want to replace my battery with 2 batteries in parallel. plz recommend me batteries which give me backup of around 3 hrs for 3 fans,3 tubelights and 2 routers. Which brand and power is recommended for atleast 2 yrs usage. budget is max 20k.
your suggestion will b appreciated.

1) Double the number of batteries i.e. add another battery of same capacity. (phoenix brand is good)
2) These pure sine wave ups aren't made for lead-acid truck batteries. Ideally, go for gel deep-cycle batteries.
3) If buying lead-acid, keep them in a well ventilated place that has lower ambient temperature.
4) If buying lead-acid, go for as big a capacity as you can get.

Dear Zameer,

Raising the battery amps is not only the solution.

First of all you have to calculate your power need. As you describe in first post 3 fan, 3tubelights, 2 routers. A rough calculation of your power what u need a
Power Rated = 1 KVA
Output volt = 220v
Input volt = 12v

The reason why I m saying this.
@ 1kva with input of 12v you required 84 Amps for 1 hr (Calculated UPS)
@ 2Kva with input of 12v you required 166 Amps for 1 hr (your UPS)

Secondly your UPS is imported. Most of imported UPS are not designed to use at longtime backup. they designe it just for transition time between wapda and generator.

So resulting for longtime smooth backup you need acurate UPS and Battery.

my rough estimate of load is about 600 watts at maximum. i bought phoenix 220 battery which ll give me 175 amps. estimated backup with 600watts is around 2.5 hrs with full charging. but problem here is we dont get enough time to get battery fully charged.
Now plz help me how to maintain this battery for a little longer life.

AMP-HR rating of battery is :175, as mentioned by you.

Charging Rate: 175/10= 17.5 Amperes

cross check the recent charging rate using AMP meter if this UPS allows you to change the charging rate then increase it till 15-16 Amps.

Hope, this will solve your problem.

P.S: not being charged properly before you enter into next load shedding kills the battery very soon

As told by my dealer it charges at 20 amp/hr initially and as battery is charged it slows the rate. I remember he mentioned three phase chharging type thing.

Three step charging is good.

Use two batteries and a stronger charger (higher amps for bulk charge) if the problem is the loadshedding occurring too frequently.

Like I said, these batteries are not meant to be fully discharged. Having one battery and loadshedding so much that the battery doesn't get fully charged - this will ruin the battery through excessive discharge sulfation. Having two batteries and higher charging current will subject the batteries to the same current as a single battery is getting now (prevents boiling the battery fluid) - and the batteries will discharge 50% less than what a single battery would be on the same 600watt load and prevent the sulfation that occurs on excessive discharge.

In short - double the number of batteries (put them in parallel) and double the charging current. That should give you longer backup as well as at least double the battery life.

Aoa Bhai many Apka review parha then many aurora UPS purchase kiya but aurrora ups is not good battery charging time is too low my aurrora ups model is PG Ar 60 1000 va 600w and many just 150 watt ka load dala howa ha 140 ampair ki new bettry ha ye just 30 to 40 mint ka back up daita ha kya ap mari help karin ge k ma kya karo service center waly to dramy karny lagy howy hain i am waiting ur respose thanks ....

I am using Deutchse Power UPS (1.2kW and 24V system) for the past 8 months without any issue Allhamdoulillah. I bought brand new batteries for it in November and since then I have not felt the need of topping up battery fluid. The output is excellent and I have been charging my phone, laptop and running DSL modem on it without any issues. I have 2 135Amp batteries attached to it and the back-up time i am getting is 5hrs+ with 5 fans, 5 energy savers and a DSL modem.
It also has all the necessary safeties.
