The best tire size for Charade

I have Charade 84.I want to change the tires. Which size is best for my charade. I have simple R13 rims not alloy. My old tires size is 175/70/R13.

175 is big for your car, I think the max on your car was 165 width, they were really odd sized too, something like 165/65/13 if memory serves me right, the 175 width were used in the G102 cars.

i m using 195/60/14 and lowered down
grip is awesome, consumption is a bit more...overall satisfied

You must be having really lazy acceleration with such a large wheel/tire. The charades were very quick with their original setup.

165/65r13 is the max size recommended for charade.. its on the sticker on the driver door sill...

Charade is having a larger wheel well so you can fit in larger rims than normal size.
A friend is having 17" in his charade.
However the closer to the stock tyre size, the better.
IMHO you should not exceed 175 and that too on 13" rim.

hmm - pretty radical thinking you have... you think that toyota/daihatsu were stupid when the designed the car?

large wheel = more unsprung weight and more weight to rotate too - which equals bad handling, unless you are using super light weight wheels which you wont in Pakistan because the wheels price would exceed the car price by a multiple factor of at least 2.

Hmmm...
By mentioning the larger wheel well, I only told him what can be done with it, I didnt say him to do it.
I would never recommend 17" wheels for this car.
I even ask my friend, (who has 17"s in his Charade) to get some small wheels.

i m a gr8 fan of urs..n ur point is also right..but the thing is these are light weight alloys made in germany ..which as u said hard to find in Pakistan...and as far as the acceleration is concerened, its on petrol n driven only with weight of driver...so acceleration is not bad in anyway...
