The FSV is Brilliance Auto's newest sedan based on its very popular FRV hatchback measuring 4510x1758x1460mm having a wheelbase of 2580mm. The Brilliance FSV is available with Brilliance's self developed 4A15 VVT engine (1.5L), as well as the 4G18S Dongandongli engine (1.6L). With a 5-speed manual and 4-gear tiptronic transmission. Interestingly the 1.5l VVT engine produces 102hp while the 1.6l engine produces 101hp with 135nm & 134nm torque respectively. Features such as the inclusion of VVT (variable valve timing) and DIS ( Direct Ignition system), makes the power and fuel consumption of the 1.5l to be better than the 1.6L 4G18s engine. Both the engines are Euro-IV emission standard compatible.
At the Shanghai auto show, the FSV sedan attracted the crowd not only because of its beautiful design, but more because of its show on the dazzling array of high-end configuration parameters. Such as Auto-beam lights, intelligent sensing boneless wipers, tire pressure monitoring system, 8-way power heated seats, 6.5 wide touch screen, DVD, GPS navigation, visual parking assistance system, keyless entry and start system, Car hands-free, etc., are usually only available with the B-segment cars.
The Brilliance FSV offers other useful features like German MK70 ABS + EBD system, Dual front & side airbags (total 4 airbags), front preload and force limiters, heated leather seats, three-point seat belts with pretensioners, high mounted brake lights, reversing radar, engine shield, disc brakes, aluminum alloy wheels, sunroof, electrically adjustable mirrors, no bone intelligent wipers, 6.5 wide touch screen, Leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering wheel with audio controls, GPS Navigation System, parking video, AUX/ USB/ ipod connectivity, Subwoofers. etc. (features vary as per various trim levels)
Brilliance FSV is built in accordance with C-NCAP four-star collision standards.. coupled with Armour type energy absorbing cabin & a High Intensity chassis designed by Lotus is said to be most beneficient for the occupants.
