Still exported to many countries, this car , like the Hindustan Ambassador defined a generation in India.Today , Indians are driving around in the latest and best that the world has to offer.It was not so 20 years ago.The '800' was the classiest car one could buy!.How times change!.Today Maruti-Suzuki is finding it hard to sustain sales and this year is this car's last!.It is to be replaced by the Suzuki Cervo, as reported in 'Overdrive' magazine and other Indian Auto publications.My tribute to a gutsy little machine that could and did!.At INR 1.91 lac base and INR 2.15 lac fully loaded it is the cheapest production car in the world today!....A requeim....

I had one when I was in college. Excelletncar, very cheap to maintain. I used to do 15 km/liter and at times less then that. I used to drove it like anything... But sold without any loss..

as you would know, this car is called the Suzuki Mehran in Pakistan

base price in Pakistan is Pk.Rs315,000 which equals to IN.Rs228200

The Mehran is still the largest production car in Pakistan and wont be going anywhere in the near future, so if you want a new one you can always come to Pakistan

i shuld say this car shuld get banned instead of exports no seat bealts, light reflectors are of low and poor quality gets melt very easily, low quality paint, lol what the hell i m figuring out this is nothing to figure it out everything is rotten...

Maruti-Suzuki is finding hard to sustain sales of this tiny 800c machine, thanks to their thriving economy. However they shouldn't close down the plant, instead they can export those to Pakistan. With ever declining Pakistani economy and ever green corruption, there is a lot of market for even 600 cc cars..800 is still far fetched....
