Wrong, less than 2% of Pakistani population are owners of cars. Possessing a four wheeler, no matter how small brings you to the top 2% of the population. So car itself is a luxury in Pakistan. EV is non-existent, it will remain a rich man's toy for foreseeable future.
I want to buy an EV because I like to remain independent as much as possible. I will use my solar system to charge the car and remain immune to petrol shortages. I rarely go out of city now, but will have second car for intercity travel.
Personally, I don't have any hope for Pakistan, and expect it to become a Mad Max world when the climate crisis really starts to hit. We're already seeing shortages of wheat and other crops, and are now importing them. But Pakistanis are busy popping out kids like a pop-corn machine, absolutely zero foresight. They blame the government for increasing food prices, but fail to realize they themselves are the problem. Its basic math, increasing number of mouths to feed on a fixed or decreasing irrigable land will result in food shortages and price hikes.
