Had a fair share of public transport when I went to college in my teens. Pakistani public transport is an insult to my wellbeing. The stench of stinky armpits kills my nostrils and leaves me nauseated. The airconditioned buses makes the stench even worse. I would rather ride a bicycle under hot sun than step foot on any public transport again.

Yes, I didn't say that EV is for everyone. Just said its a good option for these people. 5-6 years ago people were not buying solar for homes. Now one can see it on every other roof tops in these societies. Those who can afford it and understand its benefit are opting for it. Haters can still hate.

who in right mindset will put the capital resources for a vehicle which has under 300 - 400 km endurance. If carefully traced all such audi e-trons will turn out to be bank leased vehicles for corporate executives or industry owners.

when we leave our out-posts to head for Hyderabad, Sukkar, Pano Aqil or Karachi we make sure tanks are topped up. at avg Rs. 65 ltrs of fuel can take us upto 500 - 575 kms between 2 points.

in perspective of mindset in Pakistan EVs are still 7 ~ 9 years away to become visible as commoners affordable vehicle for daily commuting

I also hail from agricultural family and yes only very remote areas are still using diesels otherwise everyone is now on electric motors for irrigation.

Further, we are installing solar panels at 250 acre farm near Multan as electric bill is getting higher and higher, option to run pesticide plant on solar is also being discussed but there are many factors to consider along with costs.

Well, you looks like have a habit of jumping to conclusions. Affording 5-10 lac is nothing these days. Having 5-10 lac pocket money doesn't make you/me rich.

If ICEs won't get obsolete, they will switch place with electric motor in a hybrid system. Electric motor will become the main driving component and ICEs will function as a backup. It will stay on like this for a few years untill the transition to electric motor slely as a main driving component will be completed.

When motor cars were invented, people never thought they would be able to replace horses.

...and they did.

Horses are still here and in more numbers than they ever were, figure out why. Similarly ICE will still be around for long time and enthusiasts will continue to drive and keep them.
