Inverex EV has landed. Selling for 35, 40 and 50 lacs. I sat in it yesterday, spacious than Alto with good legroom in the back. 140, 220, 320 KM range LIPO battery. It is a good contender.
How is the build quality?
Went back this morning. Test drive was okay. GC is low but manageable. Build quality feels like alto on the body side. But then again what else can be expected for the price. This car is a city vehicle for daily use for school office etc. For the category is okay. Jap hybrids for the same price are superior builds. My need are using spare solar during the day and not pay petrol costs. Jap imports have no warranty and no parts also. This has. I would prefer BYD in this category but that will be a long time.
Lipo or lifepo4? Most likely the latter as that’s the current tech..
You don’t sound too positive about its build quality I hope it doesn’t turn out to be yet another low quality china ev. Exception is of course brands like BYD .
The battery is indeed LiFePo4. Everything seems okay. It is very similar to Honry from features but this one has rear camera, fast charging (except 35k model) and better space inside. Build quality (body panels etc) have Alto feeling not Nissan Dayz. Looks are similar to Dihatsu Cast. I think it will do well given the price. I am going for the 40k model work 220 range. School and other domestic use. 3 people can sit at the back (one child). It felt like a struggle in Honri.
Have you seen nissan sakura? It's fully electric too and seen a few being imported recently. I'd say have a look at it too.
Sakura is better build quality but the batteries are smaller. Also no warranty on imports. EV tech is relatively new and warranty is an absolute must. We do not have trained mechanics yet to handle EVs. We need 2-3 years warranty till our "Ustaad(s)" and "choota(s)" get trained by wreaking some sakuras.
