A 7-seater SUV with 500+ km of real-life range is essentially a near-Full Size SUV (over 4800mm for a usable 3rd row).
Due to its size, it’ll require at least two powerful motors, a dual motor AWD drive setup, and a battery pack of around 100 kWh or more.
Current mid-to-low-end 5 kWh LFP battery packs cost between PKR 250k-300k. They have a 1C discharge rate at max and can sustain around 6000 cycles. An automotive-grade pack would need to be much faster and more durable, potentially costing north of PKR 500k.
So as things stand, the battery alone will take up almost all of your PKR 10 million* budget.
But let's say even if a battery pack could be had for half that price, you still need the vehicle to be around PKR 5-6 million so that after our duties and taxes it stays around PKR 10 million.
That said, here are a couple of 3-row (6 or 7 seater) electric SUVs that I know of. This excludes premium options like Zeekr 7X, NIO ES8, AITO M9, etc. or non-Chinese options since they even start above USD $50,000. This also excludes PHEVs, EREV and MPVs.
BYD Sealion 8 (Tang L)
Tang L is China only for now but will be coming to international markets (including RHD) as the Sealion 8. It is BYD's largest (and only) 3-row SUV and is equipped with DiPilot 300 (God's Eye B) and 1000 kWh charging in China.
It has a 100.5 kWh LFP battery pack and WLTP range for all EV variants should be around 500km. Price in China starts from USD $33,000 so expect it to be around PKR 25-30 million if launched here.
I'm excluding premium BYD brands like Denza, Fangchengbao and Yangwang.
Geely Livan RL9 (Proton X90 EV)
Another low-cost option but currently only maxes out with a 66 kWh battery pack with a (estimated) WLTP range of around 300 km.
It's priced around USD $18,000 after subsidies in China and is battery swap capable so they do have plans for eventual 80 kWh and 100 kWh variants as well that should push the range up to 500 km. Will obviously increase the price.
Leapmotor C16
This was just updated and is sold in Europe so technically an international model as well. The refreshed models are supposed to have up to 84 kWh LFP battery pack so should get 450+ km of range.
Prices in China after subsidies are starting around USD $25,000 for the 6-seater variant though I wasn't able to find prices for the new model internationally. It's likely not being exported yet.
*All of this is before our completely idiotic tax structure btw which basically doubles the price of the actual vehicle.
