The ideal Touring Bike Zongshen RX-3

I recently came across this most amazing touring bike on the internet, Zongshen RX-3. Zongshen is a Chinese motorcycle company, which is active since couple of decades. The brand although Chinese is being well praised around the globe.

Apparently Zongshen has launched this 250 CC bike in North and South America, UK, Russia, Thiland, etc under different names. In US its CSC RX-3, In UK its Lexmoto, in Russia its M1nsk etc. In short, whatever they call it the bike remains the same and its Zongshen RX-3.

It has been tested repetedly and throughly by different bikers around the world. One man from China rode it for 20,000 miles till CA USA. and the bike proved its worth. Different groups in US have also rode it for more than 5000 miles and with same sentimnets.

The bike costs around 3,500 US $. This is amazingly cheap for its class. I for one have fallen in love with this bike, and would love to get my hands on one of these. Any help in the matter of importing it from US or China would be greatly appreciated

The import duty may increase the price tag to $6000 approx. That is Rs6,50,000 almost. Consider no spare parts, no service centers, and no support. You're f'cked.

Omer bhai, I have recently imported Rx3 and it costed 600k (5.85 to be precise) including freight to Lahore but I wud saw one must have a budget of 600k atleast to think about this bike.

But its best value for you money if you look at crappy CBR150 above 6.6Lakh and Inazuema 250 at 7.8lakh and so on...

Spare parts are all available on 3 days notice I have sources, also Mr Zubair from Sigma sports has its all back up of parts.

Bike comes with Service manual, user manual, Workshop manual so any "trained" mechanic will not have any issue servicing it.

The reason imran bhai got billed heavily was some wrong decsions on importerrs part werna imran bhai ko mehngee nahi perni thee, I can bring same bike around 3.5lakh now.

This Rx3 would be second bike coming at my garage, first was Honda CRF 250 Replica.

Beside as you mentioned that there are like 10 variants of the same Rx3, do remember that there are hell of a quality differences as well.

The Chinese/Russian/Philippines variant can be imported as low as under 4.5lakh as well the one I have brought is a CSC USA variant which comes with a ducati EFI and Siemens ECU and controllers, it also has larger suspension and bigger wheels.

Both were imported at Sigma a couple of weeks ago but due to Demand both are sold by now, at least I know blue one is gone for sure.

I agree it is sure a looker but the ride... its even more then that.. Lahore's 1 liter sports bike track riders are even impressed by this little quarter liter bike..

same is the international reaction..

But Chinese, Philip variants which are non EFI or Chinese EFI there complaints have appeared over the two years..

But USA, Euro and Russian variants seems to be still going 10/10 so far..

There do are reports about not very top end brakes, and fried light bulbs.. but +ve news are more which made me start home work and finally buy one..

I came to know about this bike via this very thread and from what I've read / seen it sure is an impressive little thing. Great value for money. I'm tempted myself. Will get in touch with you once I've made up my mind.

Another Bike which is a higher category bike is also very in trend by people around the world is XY400, we recently got it introduced by one of a senior rider and founder from Cross Route Club, Mr Akber and bike went along with us to khunjerab border via NooriTop

He took it to a 2000+ km tour just in a week of arrival from china and was in running period, and due to riders short height he got it flipped and dropped like a dozen times but bike did not complained him.

Side by side XY is clearly dominant large and more high then Rx3 much better suited for some one with tall height and more weight.

While servicing after a hectic tour We found out that XY4OO is also equipped with USA/UK electronics and feuling system which is the main reason why it works so well.
